We recently spent time in Central Park during a visit to NYC an enjoyed seeing numerous monuments surrounded by trees in colourful spring blooms. One such monument as that of American Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton. You can find the granite statue of Alexander Hamilton around 82nd and 83rd street behind the MET and just near to the Great Lawn. Here you see a middle-aged Hamilton standing in stately attire from the colonial era. He is peering slightly to his right, with right arm bend, fist held against his chest. He appears to be holding a rolled manuscript in his left hand, which is resting atop a small pillar. Surrounded by trees in bloom, it is a nice monument to view during an afternoon at Central Park in the spring.

If you’re into monuments it’s worth it, given the history involved. History represents the past, regardless of what transpired. So it’s amazing to see these monuments!

Alexander Hamilton is one of the founding fathers of the United States. The statue placed in the park was sculpted by Carl H. Conrads in 1880 and donated by one of Hamilton's sons, John C. Hamilton. The easiest way to see his portrait is to just look at a ten dollar bill. Considered as a legal and financial planner, he has a reputation for introducing U.S. dollars and establishing the National Bank and the U.S. Treasury Department. During the American Revolution, he was George Washington's most trusted confidant. Hamilton was shot deadly in a duel by his political opponent, Vice President Aaron Burr. He was buried in the Trinity Church. Hamilton is a significant figure in the history of the United States not only as Treasury secretary. He is, at least in my opinion, an underrated military commander. He achieved huge success in the American Revolution, and at a later point established the Coast Guard. He was also a publicist, writing down a huge number of articles and essays. Alexander Hamilton is the main character of the popular Broadway single "Hamilton" created by writer Lin-Manuel Miranda. This is one of the most popular shows on Broadway and has won numerous Tony Awards, Grammy Awards and even...

Many people in the park do not know who is Alexander Hamilton, he was an American statesman, one of the Founding Fathers of the US, promoter of the US constitution, he was the first secretary of treasury with a good vision. He could not run for the President of the US because he was not born in the US. Very nice monument where you can see the back side of the Met Museum. You can invite friends and have a drink near this monument during the sunset, it is 5 min walk...
