I have been going to hair culture since 2013 and at each visit I get my dark brown hair colored golden blonde. I have been to other hair salons in Bay ridge who have either messed up my hair completely or have told me it’s not possible to dye my hair blonde. But Hair Culture always makes it possible and they’re the only ones I trust with my hair. They also go above and beyond for their customers which is why they’re always busy. I also highly recommend to speak with the man (who may be the owner not sure) at the reception and let him know exactly what you want and he will let everyone else know exactly what to do. I have attached pictures of the last three times I have gotten my hair colored from Hair Culture. I also recommend Jenny because she’s very knowledgeable and the one year she handled my hair was the best blonde tone I had ever gotten! That’s the picture with the red heart on it and the blonde curls which she had styled also. But everyone else is skilled also, the haircuts are precise and neat, and the hair stylists are great at what they do! Definitely recommend this place but definitely recommend to let the reception know exactly what you’re looking for so everything comes out exactly the way you want

Absolutely delighted to share this review. Went to change my existing blonde balayage, wanting a blondish pink balayage this time. However, due to my existing blonde, it is not the easiest in technicality to achieve that blondish pink. Had a darker type of copper pinkish red but I was thrilled and satisfied! It turned out really good!Leon and his team are phenomenal! Leon comes by and explain everything in detail- he is extremely honest and transparent. Tells you how it’s gonna turn out just as it is. Charges you at a fair and reasonable price all these years I had been going. I have been going to Hair culture for years and they always do such a great job. An ethical hair business for sure. Leon is gifted at what he does - and he seeks to achieve the best possible outcome. His employees are all skilled, thoughtful and sweet. You can tell- I was extremely satisfied with how my hair turned out but Leon was saying it could look even better if this and that was done. But I was just in love with it and it’s good enough! I highly recommend this place and will continue to patronize for my future hair needs. They also do hair up dos for special occasions! Inquire with them.

Just walked in yesterday looking for a shampoo and trim. Since I’m a visitor in town I had no idea where to go. I was very happy with the top notch quality and service of the nice ladies who greeted me warmly as I came in. Firstly, I had a wonderful double shampoo then conditioner with scalp and neck massage. Super relaxing. Then Jenny talked with me about what I was looking for - which was fixing a couple of very bad haircuts- then she made some decisions that would help to frame my face and blend my layers while keeping as much length as possible. She was careful and stopped many times to ask how I thought things were going. For the finishing touch, she curled me up “to make you pretty” 😄. And you certainly can’t beat the price. My total was about $50 including tips. I can’t speak to their overall prices as I didn’t ask about anything else. I will be back whenever I’m in town.

I am shocked by the great reviews and I can only think that they might have experienced a once in the blue moon MIRACLE because I've given these so called "stylist" many a try in an attempt to find a diamond in the ruff but, not even the owner knows how to cut hair. They can't even cut hair by looking at an example photo, I've never gone to a stylist that couldn't cut hair by looking at a provided photo, only here! The last time I went here, I brought a photo and ended up with a 3" shaved section in the nape of my neck, this is no where close to the hairstyle in my photo. The owner was present, blowdrying another clients hair(thats all he does, blowdry hair, he can't cut hair either) he saw what the stylist did because she got distracted by another stylist and shaved a section off with the shaver she had in hand. Any reputable owner would have done his best to fix the mistake his employee did but nothing was done, I suppose if he had any ability he would have tried to fix it but, he is just as bad as his employees in cutting hair and running a business. I wonder why people keep going to this business and all I can say is, it has to be that the cuts are cheap, so you get what you pay for and...
