Where do I begin? Hence a long review but all true & informing 1st "- Called to see how much bottles would be because we were celebrating my boyfriends b-day & was told the price is $450 for 3 bottles. No problem! But I was told a DJ would be there and when we got there, NO DJ! 2nd - Our friends who got there before us were controlling the music from the spots' Ipad so technically we were the DJ for the night 3rd "Service" - Only 1 bartender/server/bottle girl whatever you want to call her was servicing that night so service was slow 4th "Hookah" - Hookah didn't "hit" like it does in Astoria or let alone at home because we have our own and are used to making it ourselves 5th & finally "The bill" - The bill was over $700 dollars and we only got 3 bottles and 2 hookahs (changed it one time). For some reason, we were charged for 3 hookahs and the bottles had tax & gratuity added ON TOP OF THE MENTIONED PRICE. I've NEVER been to a spot where tax & gratuity are added on top of the mentioned price and I've bought them at top lounges throughout NYC including Taj Lounge, Le Reve, Katra, and even Khan in Astoria. Even though this was a crazy bill, I thought it was messed up how we had about 20 people there that night, purchased bottle service, multiple hookahs bought but not included on the same bill and nothing was complimented to us. If the place was packed, I wouldn't expect anything but because we practically made up their profit that night since it was only 5 other people there that night besides our group, the extra hookah I questioned them about could've at least been taken off. Call me bougie (I'm far from it) but every time my friends & I celebrate somewhere with bottle service, we ALWAYS get complimented with something, even if it's a cheap bottle of champagne. That's just how you do business...make the customer happy and welcomed and want them to come back to your establishment. But not this place. They're money hungry and "get-overs". Not to mention my bf bought an extra bottle in cash which he was told it was $150 but after "tax & gratuity" it came to $192. Why is tax & gratuity added to an additional bottle after we already paid tax & tip on 3 previous bottles especially since it's being paid in cash?! The place isn't that big and damn sure wasn't busy for the waitress to get tipped again just for bringing the bottle over. Not to mention, the bottles only cost about $40/$50 retail so you're automatically making 100% + more profit by hiking it up to $150 per bottle. All in all, I will NEVER return to this place again. I'd rather go to Astoria where there's ALWAYS a DJ, good hookah, set price for bottle service, and an appreciation of money...
Read moreHit or Miss. But you need to know… This is not your local hookah spot. This is for Yemeni men. The back seating area which is very nice Yemeni style is for men only. They will not tell you that they will just say “oh we have reservations at 6 o’clock” and so we sat in the front and no one came in at 6 o’clock and there was plenty of empty rooms but anyway I get it because it’s for the men. Now at least the hookah should be good. It was not this time. I came before a few time, sat in the front, and it was good. This time horrible and burned. I will not return anymore. I’m tired of dealing with this. If you are a man I guess will enjoy and the music is good but I don’t know what happened...
