Possibly one of the worst massage experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a couples massage for my mom and myself as a Christmas gift. My masseuse seemed to be falling asleep at multiple points throughout the massage. I could feel the pressure trailing off as she dozed off, then vigorous rubbing as she woke up and realized she had just been holding onto one of my limbs for 30 seconds. I wasn’t sure she was falling asleep when I was laying on my front, but it happened consistently and I caught her nodding off when I was laying on my back.

Aside from that, she seemed to miss every pressure point. A lot of the massage was her rubbing her forearm on my oiled back with no noticeable change in pressure or focus. I left with the same pain that I came in with, plus some new ones.

I was given a small 7% discount once I explained my issues to the front desk, plus a rewards card with 3 punches (instead of 2), but I wouldn’t want to come back to take the gamble. My husband and I were visiting our daughter and grand-daughter in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and wanted to get ourselves a massage as well as getting one as a gift for our daughter and grand-daughter. We made an appointment for a 90 minute "couples' session" for ourselves, and had Shirley and Wendy as our "massage therapists." At the end of our session I shared with Shirley that it was the best massage I have ever had! My husband agreed, and we readily signed up for another session the following day. Both Shirley and Wendy were professional and utilized a variety of techniques that effectively treated the challenges we have due to previous injuries and multiple surgeries. We checked with our grand-daughter and she too indicated she also experienced an excellent massage! We purchased a "gift certificate" for our daughter, and trust she will find it exceptional as well.
