I’ve went here before & it’s been okay, but this last trip 11/10 around 5pm was very uncomfy and didn’t feel good! I am a black woman who goes here to get simple products for my hair, but when I walked in initially I wasn’t even greeted but everybody was standing around at the front while silent & staring. I go to one aisle & the bald Hispanic man comes past for a little and I didn’t pay any attention. Then the younger redhead worker comes down the aisle I was looking at and pretends to be looking at products. Then I walk down further & she goes a little further looking at COTTON PADS. At that point I knew I was being profiled & watched. I then go to the next aisle & she comes down the aisle doing the same thing, then I go to the last aisle and she leaves because I’m visibly by the older Hispanic lady (Maria) at that was working the checkout. The younger redhead was obviously in an awkward spot by the door next to the register watching me from there. If it wasn’t for the fact there’s not a lot of beauty supplies in the area I would have walked out! The one following me is glad I didn’t cuss her out, but instead checked out & addressed the issue after. I noticed a Hispanic man walk in while I was checking out and didn’t seem anybody was watching him… If you’re going to follow and profile people at least make it less obvious or have a REASON to. I was in there less than 2 minutes when they started. Extremely weird, unprofessional & profiling!! Get a grip on yourselves I have no reason to be followed or steal $17 dollars worth of 1.99-4.99 cheap ass products. Y’all don’t even have everything I really need for me to be wanting to THINK about stealing. Not coming back to this store and would recommend other black women or people in general not to even support this business. I’ll go out my way to...
Read moreIf I could give less than one star I would the manager is rude and unhelpful I purchased a horrible quality wig from this store as a treat to myself and it can’t be curled it won’t take product and I was refused compensation or basic store credit due to policy which I am understanding of but in cases where YOUR product is cheap a customer should be compensated or helped just because of basic customer service I will never shop here again and I urge anyone else who wears wigs even if you try them on in store sometimes the wigs on the mannequin look better than what you purchase and you will not be compensated or even given basic kindness or customer service I typically shop for wigs on Jamaica Ave but due to my chronic illness and limited mobility it’s difficult to travel you would think after informing the manager of this he would find decency to accommodate me also again I was told told there was nothing he could do and when asked to speak to someone above him I was denied I’ll further deal with this on my own but here’s a PSA and a warning I’ve gotten better customer service from Amazon then I did here terrible store. You lost a customer of 10+ years...
Read moreIve been coming here for the last 9 years. Never had a problem till today! They had a sale on an item for 4.99 (original price 7.99) with your membership card so I said hey why not... It rings up original price. The girl at the register said I was wrong and no refunds! Like I just purchased this not even 20 seconds ago!! I ripped the sticker off the shelf and brought it to the manager. She scanned it and tried to give me the same excuse. She was like oh its a different sku number were sold out and that the sale supposedly ended.... Which one is it? Im like well you are the manager and you obviously have lots of staff members, you should keep up with inventory, and your "limited time offers". I Tell the manager you do give refunds right? she said of course. I said well tell the cashier that because she said store policy no refunds... Its a shame how lazy these girls are. If you hate your job, look for another one. There was only one girl there that was extremely helpful. A young african american female who went above and beyond to help me! Sadly I did not get her name. Kudos to her! But after todays experience yea I wont be coming...
