I should have noted some of the recent reviews, which also stated their experience with overly rough massages.
Yesterday, I went in for a 90 minute massage and what I hoped to be an enjoyable relaxing session on my day off. It was far from that, but I’ll start with the good.
The place is clean, quiet, and the front desk person is friendly and receptive. They took me in with no problem as a walk-in.
The downside was the extreme discomfort, no matter how many times I attempted to ask politely to please be gentle. The entire 90 minutes, I spent holding my breath and in turn tensing up significantly more because of how much pain I was in. Even as I was wincing from the pain, especially near my spine, the man massaging me kept going. I asked 3 times to please go softer, and I do not believe there was a language barrier because he responded “but your muscles are so tight!!” I agree, they are- however, I was significantly more tensed up due to the pain and discomfort. The last 20-ish minutes of the massage were rushed, rough, and mostly spent with me hoping my session would end soon.
I’ve never had such an intense experience. Nonetheless, I tipped well, and did not intend to leave a negative review. However today I am in so much more pain, and feel bruised all throughout my body as if I was beat up- particularly near my spinal cord, which is alarming.
I hope nobody else has to experience this type of pain, when they are looking to relax. I recommend asking before the massage, what type of pressure is preferred and abiding by that,...
Read moreAs a first time customer, after reading their reviews, was kinda expecting to have a good and happy kinda massage.
They gave us a trainee masseuse who's training with the spa, who doesn't speak and understand English so when you tell her to go soft because she's doing a very harsh and hard massage it will never happen.
The worst part is when she pressed her elbow so hard on my spine that I yelled and screamed in pain.
The other masseuse that is with my hubby who heard me scream came and replaced her and switched with her. So it didn't solve the problem and ended up being worst than my current situation. She ended up doing my hubby's massage. 2strikes and the replacement who gave me my 1hr massage was just like giving me a back rub as if I'm a 1month old baby putting me to sleep.
Hot stone was cold as a stone that's been picked up on the road to make the matter worst.
Told the person in charge about this situation. Just apologized and to top it all asking us to tip the girls!
How can u ever tip someone who gave u body aches instead of getting a relaxing massage for night.
Just Visited today!...
Read moreI’ve been in this place for a full body massage 2 times. First time was great, Receptionist was a Chinese guy, he was very polite, kind and took care of me, also massage staff treated me great. Today was my second time, I got a Groupon for full body massage and ended up paying 10 usd more for extra 10 mins. Lady did not know how to massage feet, I orientated her, that was ok, body massage was pleasant and relaxing. When I paid I tipped 4 usd, and lady on the counter was mad forcing me to tip more, he ripped the receipt and broke it in pieces because I refused to tip more!! She was really mean and with bad customer service, they cannot force people to tip more, this is absurd.
Massages are ok, Front desk Chinese lady has terrible customer service, they should...
