TLDR: I disliked the service I received but I got what I wanted so I guess that's Hermes for you.

Pros: no lines in front of the store when I arrived Saturday morning. I got my dream bag and did not have to wait for long. 15 mins tops, I was in and out.

Cons: I have this nagging feeling that my shopping experience was rushed. I did make an appointment stating what I was looking for in detail so maybe the SA (who btw spoke very little, more on it later) had prepared everything for me. Still, this was my first huge Hermes purchase and the experience fell short of my expectations . I was not given a private room to see the bag. Instead, I was told to wait sitting down at a communal table near the butler bar where the refreshments are. I was only offered a bottle of water though. Apparently SA thought no coffee and biscuits for me.

SA was courteous but not in any way warm or friendly. She was very matter of fact ly, referring to every sentence of my request in the appointment and refusing to bring me other bags that I was also taking an interest in saying that this was the only bag they had in the store. When asked if the Madison store has one she said she doesn't know and she can't check. Not sure if I can trust that. She repeatedly asked if I wanted the bag or not. I felt like she was really pushy.

I left with an overwhelming feeling of dissatisfaction. Never shopped at Hermes before and I expected more from them. In the end, I got my dream bag which is amazing but not loving my shopping experience at Hermes...
