Heaven Must Be Like This

You know what I think heaven is like

Its being visited by my 17 year old daughter, the love of my life, my guardian Angel, my Princess.

You know what I think heaven is like

It's taken her to get her nails done at Issa Nails Salon a half a block away from an apartment l recently moved to a few weeks and being greeted by the owner Lisa Issa with her wonderful smile, open arms and of course beautiful nails.

You know what I think heaven is like

It's leaving my 17 year old in their wonderful hands with their warm hearts who removed her from the noise outside and now making her feel the center of attention!

You know what I think heaven is like

It's picking my daughter up and her sparking and delighting in beautiful nails all the way to Herald Square Subway to going home thus keeping the flames in my heart burning

You know what I think heaven is like

It's walking down Lexington onward to and looking at Issa Nails and seeing that wonderful hands of the owner waving hello to me And boy her nails still looking so fine!

You know what I think heaven is like

It's again being visited again and taking her back to Issa Nails to get her nails done with a designer twist and leaving her in the hands of Lisa Issa wonderful and caring hands of her beautiful staff

You know what I think heaven is like

It's picking up my 17 y/o marveling at her nails and her beaming with astonishment about how beautifully her nails were looking all the way to Herald Square subway

You know what I think heaven is like

It's going to Issa Nails Salon who offers a vast number of services and a heartwarming staff ready to...

I cannot gush enough about this place! I ended up choosing the Issa Spa Package #6 which came out to $126. This include spa gel pedicure + gel manicure. I also ended up getting acrylic extensions for my manicure which bumped my price up to $185.

Run time: 2 hours. My appointment was at 6:30 and i left their facilities at 8:30.

Pedicure: the usual steps of a pedicure but, i also received a dry sugar scrub on my legs and feet, which was rinsed off with warm water and then I received a thick moisturizing cream that was wrapped in cellophane to let penetrate my skin. I got the callous remover treatment; foot scraping of dead skin (with pumice stone and the cheese grater spatula). After I had my toes painted and a 15 minute foot massage they put my feet into hot oil socks to soak in while I got my manicure.

Manicure: so many colors to chose from! Nothing too exciting from a regular manicure elsewhere. Except the person who did my nails knocked it out of the park. I showed her the reference photo, the colors that I wanted, the detailing of the artwork; she did all of it.

Overall I had an amazing time at this salon. The ladies were very friendly and sweet to me. They were super helpful when I needed the restroom and I would recommend for anyone to go here. I'd go here once a month honestly (to avoid getting gargoyle feet). Prepare your budget to spend roughly $200 if you're...

This shouldn’t come as a surprise, but this place is literally no better than any other place that exist in New York City or anywhere else that I’ve been too that wasn’t a specialized nailed salon. I think the only reason I’m even leaving a review is because it was so particularly bad that I feel compelled to let anyone know that if you have certain people in this place perform a mani or pedi, you will literally want to walk out without tipping or paying anything. But of course that’s not what you do because you’re more civil than that and you respect business. But if you are on a call, this is not a place that will ever respect that and if you are a person that doesn’t want to be asked tons of Questions while receiving any sort of treatment, you also hate this place. I came here the first time on my birthday and luckily it was about half an hour before they closed, and that was a reasonably more pleasant scenario, because there was no one here to be extremely annoying, and the person that offered that service was decent as well, but still better than most of the other people here , so good luck finding a great nail salon in nyc. It is as much a commodity as it is...

First time coming to this location. I used to go to the one on 2nd Ave. religiously. However, the work was becoming sloppy, and my gel manicures would peel within the same week. I have spent a lot of money at Issa (2nd Ave) and the quality service is “OK”, but not great. I decided to go to this location on Lexington Avenue, taking a chance, and I’m glad I did!!! Maria was AMAZING!!!! she took her time, and understood my frustrations. I have a defect in my nail, which splits some times due to acrylic from previous years, and one bad incident took the whole nail off, and it’s never been the same. Maria was able to make the nail whole by adding a powder and gel and glue substance that kept the nail together making my nails look completely intact. I have now vowed to come here and the prices are reasonable and she has now become my dedicated nail technician here on out, I recommend this location to anyone that is looking for reasonable prices for a great service. Thank you and see you Thursday. 😊!!

Services were pretty quick and the environment was clean. A lot of great mani/pedi packages too. The lady that did my pedicure did an amazing job. However, I got a gel acrylic refill without tips and one of my hands started chipping next day. The lady that did my nails was rushing because it was before closing. She kept stopping to text and check her phone. She also asked for a tip when she didn’t deserve one, but I still gave it. Just wish it went to the tech that did my pedicure. Overall, I paid $128 including tip. Not sure if I’d come back. Disappointed cause I wanted to like this place.

I've been to this place twice, and I don't think I would go back. While I liked how they did my feet, my gel nail polish on my hands peeled both times. The staff seems rushed and often talk about unrelated things in their own language, which was a bit off-putting. seems very judgmental especially after them seeing my ezcema on my hands. I've been searching for a good nail spot, and I still haven't found one that meets my expectations. This photo is just after 8 days which is insane
