I am so happy I found Berry Blonde Spa. I have done Coolsculpting treatments over the past year and they work-but my biggest barrier is cost. Coolsculpting costs around $1500 per large applicator and around $650/$675 per small applicator for one treatment. I decided that I wanted to do more treatments but could not afford that outrageous pricing. I happened to be looking on Groupon and stumbled across Berry Blonde Spa. They do a process called Trigli Fat Freeze. It is the same technology only it is crafted in Europe whereas Coolscupting is an American Brand of fat freeze. What I found out today by getting the Trigli fat freeze is that it is basically the same as Coolsculpting - the only major difference to note was Trigli starts off heating your skin to firm before the freeze and many Coolsculpting providers will do a Venus freeze or heat treatment after the actual treatment. Did I mention cost?! Berry Blone Spa offers AFFORDABLE packages and will price match to Groupon so these treatments are attainable!!! I got a package of 6 treatments for less than 1 small applicator of Coolsculpting. The reason most people don't know about this is due to trademarking laws but let me tell ya-if you are looking into a non-invasive fat freeze option please try Berry Blonde Spa. It is a smaller establishment on the upper east side but you can tell that the staff here care about your goals and want you to have a good experience. Bella, one of the technicians did my treatments and she was wonderful and attentive and even gave me diet tips on how to get the best possible results from my treatment. They had a special Thanksgiving promo so I got a free session so 7 treatments for the price of 6 all less than 1 small Coolsculpting applicator. At the end of my treatment, Dorota (the owner) evaluated the areas I wanted to work on and gave me recommendations. HIGHLY recommend. Thank you! This is a game changer-I feel like I will finally be able to feel confident about my...
Read moreI purchased a 5 pack of chemical peels from BerryBlonde Spa. The spa itself is a small, intimate space that is a short walk from the N/Q/R/4/5/6. It's easy to book with her online scheduling system and it automatically follows up with a confirmation and day before reminders. I've rescheduled several times seamlessly.
Dorota has a warm, inviting presence and is very easy to talk to. She began with an initial consultation and inquired about my skincare routine. She is very helpful and does not push brands or products. She did not over or under sell herself or her services. She made me feel like I'm in good hands, and the results I've received so far definitely reflect that.
I came to BerryBlonde Spa with hyperpigmentation and acne scars concentrated on my cheeks and chin. The first session was a lighter peel to see how I would react. The service itself was soothing, calming and very relaxing. She was very attentive and has a light touch.
I was running late to my second session and Dorota was kind enough to condense my service into the remaining appointment time. (I do not guarantee this is policy, it is up to her discretion. ) She was very gracious, and remained courteous the entire time.
A month after my "full strength" peel, my hyperpigmentation is noticeably reduced. My skin is brighter and all the old dark spots have faded drastically or completely went away in some areas.
I went to see Dorota approximately 8 weeks post-peel, and she noticed new dark spots she hadn't seen before. She has so many clients and she could tell what was different with my skin. She has a trained eye, and it's obvious that she cares and pays attention.
I would not hesitate to see Dorota at BerryBlonde Spa again. As a woman of color, every blemish on my skin turns to a scar. Dorota understands that and treats my skin impeccably. Making the right recommendations and encourages me to keep my up...
Read moreI had a very concerning experience at this salon - and I feel people need to be warned.
My first visit to this place was around May 4th. It was my first time ever there. I was surprised they didn’t give me any medical form to fill out - no health history, no waiver, nothing. That day I had an endosphere massage, and it went fine.
When I returned for another session - this time a lymphatic detox massage, which included wrapping me in a heated blanket - again, no medical screening or paperwork was provided. I clearly told the therapist I have kidney issues, a diagnosed spinal herniation, and nerve sensitivity in my lower back. I also mentioned my concern about the heat, but she reassured me it was completely safe and that the treatment would actually help reduce inflammation.
During the session, she checked in on me and confirmed that the sweating was normal. I trusted her judgment. But shortly after the session - within an hour - I began experiencing sharp pain in my lower back and hip. By the time I got home, I could barely walk or sit. I had to cancel work and book a neurologist appointment.
I later researched the effects of heat on spinal conditions and found that it can actually worsen nerve compression. I had no idea - I’m not a medical professional. I relied on the person performing the treatment to know what was appropriate for my condition.
This pain has seriously affected my daily life. Be cautious and make sure your health history is acknowledged before any treatment - especially if you have pre-existing conditions. I don’t usually write reviews like this, but this situation affected my health and I felt it was important...
