recently visited Kobe’s World on Dyckman Street to get my iPhone 13 charging port fixed after it fell in water. While there, I sold an iPhone 6s with a faulty battery. Initially, they offered $10, but they were understanding enough to give me $20, which covered the diagnostic fee for my repair.
While browsing, I purchased an Apple Watch they had for sale. When I got home, I was excited to use it but found out it was iCloud locked. Disappointed, I tried calling the store, but no one answered. I checked their listed hours on Google, which said they closed at 7:30 PM, but when I arrived back at 6:49 PM, the store was already closed.
The next morning, I returned and spoke with a kind Dominican woman who explained the iCloud lock was likely left on by mistake, as they use it to prevent theft. She assured me they’d resolve the issue and even promised to replace the watch if they couldn’t. Unfortunately, the watch was tied to a previous owner’s iCloud, but true to her word, she gave me a replacement—a slightly upgraded Nike version with a bigger screen.
My iPhone repair was perfect, and I’m thrilled with my Apple Watch. Despite the initial hiccups, their customer service was excellent. They’ve been serving the community for a long time and even gave me a nice mug after my purchase.
My only suggestion: Update your hours on Google Maps and double-check products for issues like iCloud locks. Besides that, Kobe’s World is run by knowledgeable, kind people, and I’d...

Read moreI have gone to Kobe's World in the past to browse their vintage gaming equipment as well as having some phone repairs done. I went in again as I had damaged my phone in an accident, and I was in a bit of a panic about what to do.
I went to Kobe's, walked in and was greeted instantly to explain the issue I was having. What meant the most was getting an upfront assessment of the likely cost and time to repair, and I was extremely happy with both the value and the speed, even on first assessment. The customer service was truly excellent and I was able to get my repair done both more cost-effectively and faster than I thought was possible. I cannot recommend Kobe's enough if you're uptown and need some...
