Dyckman Bakery — Restaurant in New York

What an awful place to get "dominican cake". I usually go to an amazing bakery nearby, they didn't have any cakes so i decided to give another local business a try. They seemed like a real dominican bakery. I asked the lady just to confirm if the cakes on display were dominican. She said yes. I bought a pound. DISPLAY CAKES ARE NOT DOMINICAN CAKES! Went in there to buy my Mother, Father, & two Niece's some nice sweet's. They all enjoyed it very much. Said it was very good. So thank you. I have boughten different things from there, & there all pretty good. One of my absolute favorite's is the Flan that they make. My Parent's like it a lot as well. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place really missed the mark. The bread was mediocre at best — bland and far from fresh. The donuts were even worse: clearly frozen, poorly defrosted (still cold and doughy inside), and overly sweet without any real flavor. Definitely not what you’d expect from a proper bakery.
