LensCrafters at Macy's — Local services in New York

I’ve been meaning to write this review this past month… so here goes:

Nicole (the manager of the location) is and should be considered a national treasure in terms of customer service.

To say Nicole went above and beyond would be a complete understatement.

I had gone to another LensCrafters prior to this location, asking them to correct the glasses they created. The other location, looked at me like I had 2 heads, adjusted the “legs” of the glasses where temples are, tightened the screws and said “all fixed”! Spoiler alert.. It was not all fixed. I came back another day and the manager of that location had my glasses sent out to adjust for the “focal point” of where my eyes were. Better. But still, not right.

I had been wearing glasses all my life and getting a headache from wearing glasses meant… something was not quite right with the glasses.

Fast forward a week.. I decided to give this location a try.

I came with my toddlers.. who did not want to be there.

But I had to get my glasses fixed!

Nicole comes out, sees my face and calmly looks at my toddler and says “Do you like to draw?” Her associate (also very sweet person), immediately runs to get crayons and paper.

Nicole then proceeds to have a conversation with me about my glasses, (while fixing my glasses!) AND engaging with my toddlers at the SAME time.

After spending (at least) 45 minutes with me… my glasses finally felt right. I no longer was getting an immediate headache after putting them on. I was able to see straight without blur. It was nothing short of incredible.

All of my future purchases will be with this location and ONLY this location going forward!

I was taken care of very well by the staff here. Dr. Hanna is very knowledgeable, and compassionate in her practice. She made sure I was comfortable at all times and led me through the eye exam every step of the way. Dr. Hanna was very patient with me and thoroughly explained my diagnosis and prescription, and helped me figure out what glasses were best for my specific needs. After my exam, Luz helped me pick out glasses that I liked. She paid attention to what styles I was interested in and picked out glasses that would complement my face shape and skin complexion. Luz offered me a variety of options that were in my budget and made sure I was comfortable with the final price. She even helped find some coverage through my insurance that I didn’t even know I had! I was very happy with my experience here. The store and patient exam areas were very clean and organized. You can tell that the people here take pride in their work and care very much about patient/customer needs. I will be visiting again and highly recommend...

I brought in a pair of Oakley sun glasses that I needed for an upcoming hiking trip. The gentleman at the Lens Crafter counter explained he will send the glasses out to their “generic” lens supplier because it would cost less. Instead what happened the frames had to be returned to LensCrafters because their generic supplier was unable to fit the brand-name frames that I had. I was concerned because I thought I wasn’t going to have my sunglasses in time and that I would incur an additional charge. Instead, Nicholas Lettieri told me he would do his best to have my glasses arrive on time despite the Fourth of July holiday. He did it! My glasses came in yesterday three days before my departure and I didn’t have to pay anything extra. They look great and I can see really well even with the bifocal.
