Lighthouse Daycare Center — Local services in New York

A wonderful daycare. My son and I switched daycares multiple times due to not being heard about allergies and personal preferences, and this was one that did not cause problems, listened to our concerns, and took us in immediately without an impossible wait (I did also have all documents ready upon touring I came prepared). We had Natasha and Gala for teachers and I am always nervous and they always answered my questions. I don’t know how but they got my son to eat soup daily and my son told me about it every day when I picked him up. He wouldn’t even look at soup before. They are able to keep my very energetic son happy but also responsive to class work and learning. The people who own it are a couple and are great directors and have their own children in the daycare. We came from a very expensive very large daycare that gave us so many problems and although not a huge daycare - so much more attention and at a better price. Also this is a huge one- my son was sick EVERY month , constantly missing school and caused me to miss work at other daycares. The other places did not follow any hygiene measures although they pretended to. Lighthouse staff took my son every morning straight to the bathroom to wash hands and change into slippers while others said they would do it but didn’t. He has never, ever, been sick in MONTHS here. Just believe the negative reviews. If the day care has 3.9 starts that says something. Ladies who works there are from Soviet Union very aggressive with kids they yell “САДИСЬ/ ВЫХОДИ” and push kids if they walk slow the “director” the blonde lady is super rude she doesn’t know how to work with kids at all. I hope she doesn’t come close to the kids. All the parents ask for the random day camera with the voice. Red flag. I hope they close down!!! Unfortunately on google after they respond you cannot comment anymore otherwise other low ratings will have more to say. Just believe the bad comments. Always read the bad reviews because good ones could be their friends ( not saying it is) I can’t believe how unhappy kids are there. Please read the previous bad reviews you can’t make that up! Super disappointing, I hope they get random check by the department. Soviet Union mentality lives in this day care it’s like 1990 never moved. Please be aware the “directer” discriminates kids. Always make sure make a random check on the camera they are not gentle with kids!!! Horrible!!! THE BEST!!! LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! I am grateful to God that I found such place for my daughter. There are no words to describe my gratitude for this daycare! We have something to compare with, my daughter attended three kindergartens before I found "Lighthouse Daycare Center". Before attending Lighthouse my dauther only agreed to eat fast food such as pizza, french fries, and pasta. In this daycare, they cook homemade food and she gradually began to eat vegetables, soups and much more. It is very important for me that now she began to eat healthy homemade food. The owners and teachers are very attentive to the kids and their needs. They organized and professional in what they are doing.Teachers support children in reaching developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities. They provide dancing, singing, art and learning through play activities within a stimulating environment. My daughter feels at home there. Even on weekends she asks if we'll go to daycare!
