Uzbegim is absolutely incredible! The food was out of this world—so flavorful and satisfying. The portions are huge! If we had known ahead of time, we definitely would’ve ordered less—but hey, now we’ve got leftovers for dinner too, so no complaints there! I have to give a special shoutout to their potatoes… I’m completely addicted. Seriously, I’m already dreaming about them and counting down the days until I’m back in New York to eat here again. Our server was fantastic—super helpful, gave us great recommendations, and made sure we were happy the entire time. And the best part? The prices are super budget-friendly, especially considering how much food you get. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving delicious Uzbek cuisine and warm, attentive service!

We ordered carp fish and told them to make it in thin layers, but they brought a large and thick fish with large slices, we also ordered bread and there was a black spot on it, it was definitely expired bread, as I understood, we told the girl and explained it, but she had zero reaction to it and just said something like I told them. Service zero.

We love Central Asian food and have traveled to Uzbekistan. The food at Cafe Uzbegim is arguably the best Uzbek food we’ve tried outside Uzbekistan (and we’ve tried a lot of it at different places around the US). The service is on spot too. We had such a wonderful experience here. We will be coming here every time we are in New York.

Don’t try lamb samsa -very strong lamb smell, thick and hard dough, lots of grease, it didn’t feel fresh to me and most importantly- not authentic for Uzbek cousine at all (I never seen the form and taste of this “samsa” in my entire life). Laghman - guessing they tried best to make it Uygur laghman (my favorite type) but don’t even close to mediocre one. Sorry guys, I tested this cafe twice and both times - not the best experience, 3 stars for food and 4 for service- the first time I was waiting for 34 minutes to get the takeout (lagman and plov) - which is very long time for takeout for ready dishes like plov and laghman - the staff even didn’t warn me about that long waiting time. Guys, try better, be more attentive to clients and be more proactive next time, I wish you guys good luck...

The food is truly excellent, the size and price make it worth it.

However, if you don’t speak Uzbek, you should expect a delay in service. We made a reservation online, called to notify we were going to be 5 minutes late due to rain, but the lady didn’t understand us, so her manager confirmed our spot was still reserved.

We arrived and they know nothing of a reservation and struggle to find us a seat, until the manager confirms we had a reservation. We sit, ready to order, and I notice the staff can’t confirm our order. With some difficulty we order and enjoy our food, the food was really good. But to get the waitress to bring napkins, water or the check was not easy. I plan on doing take out moving forward but be aware that if you don’t speak the language you’ll get...
