Lobel's Prime Meats — Local services in New York

When I first started going to Lobels years ago it was a really special place. Even if you only went in a couple of times a year they were so nice and so helpful that it made it a unique customer service experience in NY. The meat has always been outrageously great and priced to match at about $60 a pound for strip. Most recently I had them deliver to my home and after talking me into 20oz steaks on the phone both steaks I go were underweight, one not by much the other by 10%. Now I was worried that there would not be enough for my guests. I called to complain about the steak size and they were quite rude about their mistake. They did offer to redo them but in such a way I felt badgered and belittled. I finally decided the best way to deal with it would be to get a third steak to be on the safe side. When I spoke to the manager to place the additional order I received neither an apology or a thank you. It will be a long time before I go to Lobels again. Since the opening of their new store and their online businesses have taken off I guess they don't care as much about customer service. To bad another great NY purveyor has gone down the tubes. Rudeness I can find any day...

Lobel's Prime Meats is an absolute gem of a food joint, nestled right by third base in Yankee Stadium. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the food is out of this world. I had the pleasure of indulging in their new meatloaf sandwich/burger, and let me tell you, it was a divine experience. The meatloaf was delicious, cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning and with crunchy onions on top, the combination melted in my mouth.

And let's talk about those steak fries! They were a work of art. They complemented my burger so well that it was a match made in heaven. Although the steak fries alone were enough to fill me up.

I have to commend Lobel's Prime Meats for bringing their A-game to the ballpark. The quality of the food and the service was top-notch, especially given the bustling atmosphere of Yankee Stadium. This is the kind of food that elevates the stadium experience and makes it truly memorable.

Lobel’s in Yankee stadium is hands down the best food stand in the stadium! Their staple is the steak sandwich. It was everything you want in a steak sandwich. Meat is succulent, tender, and tasty. The bun is soft and holds it well, and the horseradish sauce takes it to another level! The roast pork broccoli rabe was one of the best I’ve had in a really long time! Love that the pork was shredded and not sliced. The bite from the broccoli rabe and a dash of heat from the chili flakes set this sandwich off. The sesame bastone was top notch and a perfect vehicle for the sandwich. The filet mignon steak fries looked amazing and heard people saying they were great.
