I liked it but would never come back. I love the place, the experience, and the helper! I’m not sure the name of the girl who helped me, but she s super helpful and nice.補藥倈賞膏基課。初次體驗還可以。 But the owner/manager i met, just a businessman. She definitely cares more about money you pay than your experience here. 1️⃣We paid for advanced class, so that we could choose to weave or make project, or whatever we want. During our session, because we decided focus on sewing (weave a little bit, to have material to sew), the owner came and ask, if we can give that place to another girl who just decided to join. I said sure, it’s fine. There is someone using the sewing machine, so I have nothing to do but wait. Till like the last 10mins of my session, the owner came and gave me the second one (I ASKED EARLIER AND SHE SAID ONLY ONE MACHINE). Even worse, at the end of the session, because there’s not enough time for me to finish my small bag, the owner said, you need to PAY for the extra ten minutes if you would to extend. 2️⃣ Also, I knew they weight your material for advanced class. BUT THEY ALSO WEIGHT THE ZIPPER (PAID $5 FOR THIS, which is double charging), inner materials you used to make the project. Which I’m guessing, if you are making the pillow, they might also weight the filling? Or maybe other things you need pay + will be weight...
Read moreI registered for an all day weaving session. The staff members were very helpful when I had questions. Thank you for a wonderful day!
I wanted to add that for the beginner’s class it might be helpful for the instructors to provide an introduction of saori weaving and what to expect from the session (in terms of instruction, projects, skills). I noticed some students seemed overwhelmed and unsure what they wanted to accomplish—having examples of what they could make in just 2 hours might be helpful. There’s lots of projects on display for inspiration, but some of them are more advanced techniques. Everyone I saw seemed to enjoy their time, but for new weavers the experience can definitely be a lot to take in!
I tried my first class in February and enjoyed it, but I’m an experienced weaver. For me, it’s a wonderful exercise to play with color and texture that I wouldn’t otherwise have available. I’ve also picked up hints and new skills that I had...
Read moreI had a pretty magical time at Loop of the Loom's beginner class. My friend had been once before and suggested we take the beginner class together. The instructors were there to support and guide us, ready to inquire (but not necessarily suggest) when we were ready to learn a new technique. As a total novice, I found their level of care and attentiveness instructive and not at all smothering - great for inspiring creativity and inventive play. The two other students in our block of time were two eight year old girls who, I would say, found equal peace and joy in their creations. This really is the perfect way for creative minds of all ages to spend the day. I'm very much looking forward to returning for one of their more...
