I had a long term disability claim that the claim officer Ms. Robinson was in charge of. There was very poor communication with her . She would claim she needed further information upon every month . In February I was asked to sign a release authorization form from a company that works for MetLife which I did whole heartedly . . At the end of February I received another call from her stating she still needed hospital records . I explained to her that I gave you authorization to do so , she proceeded to say it was my responsibility to do this . I asked what would happen if I was in a coma and the answer was someone could speak for you . I then said so you think my children that work as nurses would have all this time between 9-5 to get you answers. (I laughed) March came and I was surprised that they went on my personal Facebook page and asked about my son Inlaw’s lawn service which he just started mowing due to covid as he was out of work and asked if I could help advertise for him . She asked for a profit and loss page to see how much I was being paid , I explained I was listed as a co owner to advertise and he made less than $5000 in the 4 months of doing it and went back to his full time job. He still mows about 10 yards only ranging between $35 to $50 per yard every 2 weeks. I was then asked for my tax returns to see what was on there from the lawn care and I explained nothing as there is not enough income to claim anything . For even him . Then I was asked how much money I received from a third party disability company I paid out of pocket for which I stated it was for the month of January and is not your business as you claim will pay from February on . I got all the information she needed from the hospital and doctors offices as she couldn’t do her job and I should be receiving her pay for doing so . So I called her supervisor at the end of March and I explained everything to her and she stated she should have all she needs if not I will have her speak with you immediately . After weeks of no contact I receive another letter stating she still needed hospital records which they received in March from me my tax returns , my income from the other LTD and from my son Inlaw’s lawn service. At this point I decided is it really worth trying to fight for this payout as you would think it was coming from her pocket. She called and left a message as I really didn’t want to argue over this again . On the 23rd she called and I once again went through all of the previous conversations about things that were and weren’t he business and became frustrated again and told her at this point her sarcasm and condescending attitude were not appreciated and her reply was ok so close this out I then told her that you say yeah and sure and uh huh was not appreciated and I hung up . I called back and spoke to an Alisha who was very professional told me she would send an email to her supervisor and the customer care representative . I told her verbatim what I and her boss spoke about on the last call from a month ago and she said that is what was said in the notes . Today 4/26 I received a call from a previous supervisor I spoke with before Ms. Bellows who proceeded to tell me why this was needed and I went through all the previous calls and supervisors I spoke with and she asked if I was wanting to send over the information asked and why I did not sign off on a paper needed to release records . I then went and asked what the benefits paid for all this ridiculous I formation needed and that no one ever asked me to sign anything . I then said to her so I feel your people need to be trained on how to speak with people and to properly communicate with them . After getting nowhere with her and just repeating myself I asked how much are the benefits . She then said it pays $1000 a month I then said so for all this harassment and information you feel you need and I’m keeping from you you would think you were paying me out of your pocket . Met Life Insurance refused to pay life insurance claim for my Father after he made monthly payments for 50 years of his life until his death.
I spent 100's of hours filling out forms, same forms 10 times, and many hours on phone talking to Met Liferepresentatives (49 minutes today), regarding this account. Met Life received the same claim form 5 times from me, death certificates multiple times. Power of Attorney multiple times. Met Life has stolen the benefit that My Father had paid for for 50 years. Met Life insurance is a Fraudulent Evil Company operating on faith that what you are making monthly payments for will be honored, There is no honesty or honor in Met Life Insurance. Met Life Insurance is pure EVIL! Preying on people with a false commitment that they will fulfill their promise to your heirs, which they will not do!
