I was on my way to visit my son and what took place just was so inappropriate ...Do not get me wrong out of the hundreds of time i have road the Hudson line up to becon and down to NYC from Yonkers ny this has to be one of the worst experiences that i have had. my 8 year old daughter was assaulted by a conductor named ms Austan ... my daughter was pushed over and stepped on and not one word of a apology was utter and when i ask what train this was and her badge number. gave it to me laughed it off said here you go i have no badge number but my name is Austen and this is train 8101... when i ask why she touched my chided and pushed her over while we were praying she said if i hurt her you would fight me i said no mam i wouldn't i will call the police and let your superiors know of what has taken place ... when notifying her co worker nothing was done they stated they had no number and that i would have to call 511 ... ms Austan removed and touched my child's stroller with out asking .. this was on the Hudson line on the second train going to becon i had two trains to ride leaving yonkers ny boarding at 850 at yonkers transferring at corton harmon .. the train number was 8103 ms austan stated ... ... i stayed in the 3rd to last cart with my children they are witness to this my children are 11, 8 and 6 years of age. and i had my new born with me . the train stopped short as i was speaking to a heavy set man who said he work for the metro north but he did not conduct them when this took place he said why did she stop the train short and i stated i believe she did because she was trying to hurt me ... but what i did not know was .. she knew she would be arrested for hurting my child so i thought but when the police came she lied and said i pulled the cord and the police told me to step away from the train and ask what happen i told them and my children all said she was lieing the officer saw my military id and called base for a supervisor and said that up ahead at some other stop they asked ms austan what happen and said my son pulled the cord that is not the truth.. Im sure if you pull the black box you will hear what really happen .. something needs to be done.. this took place...
Read moreTook the train from Grand Central to New Haven and it ended up getting there 23 minutes late. The train broke down shortly after leaving Stamford. The crew was incredibly incompetent. The driver didn’t even announce the issue after we stopped for more than 10 minutes. In the mean time, she kept using the intercom to request a conductor to lend their radio to an engineer. Few minutes later, the conductor responded that she is on her way. A few more minutes later, she slowly walked past us. The train was 23 minutes late, and the driver didn’t even try to make up the time. The whole experience was just terrible. This is also not the first time that the train on this line was late. It was good until 2 years ago. Back then, the train was usually 1-2 minutes early. Now, I can’t even plan ahead. I was supposed to take a local train from New Haven at 12:30, and the next train is scheduled for 2:25pm. CT sucks, but that’s not included in this review. The one star is for Metro-North Railroad, and Metro-North Railroad only. Specifically for the train scheduled for 06/28/2025 at 10:02am from Grand Central Terminal. You ruined my weekend.
Btw, tried to use the MTA app to report the issue and they said they don’t have any information and they weren’t able to contact the crew. WHY DO YOU EVEN HAVE A CONTACT US BUTTON IF YOU CANNOT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE?
Edit: late again on 07/03/2025
Edit: late again...
Read moreGreat. You get on the train, and before you know it, you get where you're going. You have to make sure you get on the right train, though. There's more than one, so give yourself enough time to find the right one, and check with the conductor to make sure. If you don't, you're in trouble. Believe me; I've been there (the wrong place). It's no fun. Make sure you know where you're going in advance. Just a word to the wise. You'll thank me for it, and check to be sure you have...
