-Knowing what I know now you would be a fool to buy hearing aids at Miracle-Ear for $5,000 and more, that are only guaranteed for 3 years. Like used cars, they lose all their value once you leave the office. They tell you the rechargeable batteries will last a year, but they only last 6 months, and cost you $60 to replace each time. They don't tell you that there is a breakdown every 2 to 3 weeks, and you know how inconvenient it is to get to an office in good time, let alone the difficulty of getting an appointment! Then a year later they have the nerve to try and get you to buy an upgrade for another $5,000. They are so happy to see you when you make your first purchase, but they are not happy at all when you have to come back every month for 3 years. -Look on Amazon, you can buy a pair of rechargeable hearing aids for $50 and less. (Hearing aids where you replace the batteries twice a week are only $25 and less.) That means you can buy 100 pairs for the same $5,000. Even if a pair only works for a month, you can throw them out and still have enough pairs to last 8 years!!! Shoot, you can buy $75 pairs that will last 3 months apiece, and buy 66 pair for the same $5,000 and they will last you 16 years!!! Miracle-Ear should die a quick and quiet death. -Go ahead, try a cheap pair from Amazon for yourself to see if I am lying. You can get an evaluation from any real hearing doctor, and even program them yourself, as if that is necessary; all you really have to do is...
