Moozika! — Local services in New York

My toddler loves these classes, they are far more fun and engaging than any other kids music classes we've attended! She looks forward to this class every week and is always excited to go. Jesse is really attentive to the children and while the class structure remains the same (which I think is important for the little ones) he has new songs, puppets and interactive musical "games" each week which always keeps it fun and original. I have also been bringing my four month old daughter and he treats her with as much attention and respect as he does all the other kids, engaging with her just the same as the bouncing, dancing toddlers. I think he is an incredibly creative and talented teacher. I would highly recommend the Moozika classes to anyone with babies or young children. We love Jesse and Moozika! It's pure joy watching the little ones respond to the music and props and discover friendships and connections each week. Jesse is also amazing developing new materials and movements each week and making every kid, introverts and extroverts alike, feel extra special. We started just after our twins turned 1 and have continued on in subsequent sessions (now 18 months and still loving it!). Of all the music classes and playgroups we've explored in the neighborhood, this is by far the one that we all get the most out of and we find ourselves frequently humming and singing the songs, in true Moozika groupie fashion, as we step out...

Great class by someone who clearly loves what he is doing. Jesse does a terrific job creating a joyful space for the kiddles (How does he remember every single kids name from the first time he meets them, when I sometimes forget my own name?). He brings a real warmth to his interactions, and I have seen my own son as well as other kids really open up to the experience and become completely engaged in music making. There's singing, drumming, dancing, bubbles, goofing, hopping, parachuting, scarf dancing, and puppets...(and more) plenty to keep the little guys busy and excited.
