Working with Bailey was the best decision we made for our wedding - hands down. Before starting the planning process we knew we wanted to focus on three things: music, food, and photography. We found Bailey through Instagram (she worked with our venue prior to our wedding, so her photos were tagged) and reached out. She was responsive and professional from the start. It's so important to trust the vendors you choose, and we knew after our first meeting (we met her for a drink and she was prepared with a whole laptop full of great wedding/engagement/other photos from her portfolio) that she would be an awesome addition to our wedding team.

During our engagement shoot, Bailey made us feel so comfortable. It can be a bit weird getting your picture taken in the middle of a street, hotel, etc., but Bailey's positive attitude and fun energy made us feel at-ease and totally normal. We had such a great time! Leading up to our wedding Bailey answered all of our questions, checked-in on our progress, offered any vendor recommendations, and scheduled calls to go over the event timeline and all the photos we were looking for her to capture. She made us feel comfortable and confident in her abilities the whole way through.

Our wedding was in MA in late October--and it POURED. It actually rained so much all day that we couldn’t even go outside to take one photo. The minute Bailey showed up to the venue she had a plan. She had already done her research of all the possible indoor locations to shoot, and she got really creative! At one point, she ventured out into the pouring rain herself and shot us while we stood in the doorway of our venue. The result was moody, intimate, stunning photos – our favorites from the day! We also had a lot of family portraits to take. Bailey was organized and not afraid to take charge (she’s great at wrangling – a must if you want to get anything done!). We ended up getting all of the shots we wanted and we did it on time.

Not only is Bailey professional and creative, but she is also FUN! As a photographer you have to interact with everyone at the wedding – the couple, families and other vendors. Every single person that I spoke with after the wedding just kept saying “your photographer was great” or “your photographer had such great energy.” She felt more like a friend you’ve known forever than a photographer you hire to shoot your wedding.

Obviously the most important part of choosing a photographer is the end result – the photos! We couldn’t be happier with the photos from both our engagement shoot and wedding day. Bailey’s style is more candid (which we love), and this allows her to really capture the personalities of the couples she works with. If you scroll through her website you can get a sense of this. You can tell she takes pride in her work and creates a meaningful and individual experience for each couple that she works with.

We were drawn to the way Bailey captured love within nature. She masterfully balanced capturing shared moments of joy and tenderness while also highlighting the beauty of a natural landscape. We have been dreaming of getting married in the Berkshires nestled in the fields and rolling hills, and we knew Bailey would be able to capture the way our relationship blooms on that landscape. We saw in her photos the way she made her subjects feel comfortable and relaxed. Since we are more reserved in front of the camera and are not used to posing, we wanted someone to help us bring out our relaxed and unstaged selves. This was absolutely true when we got our photos back and then some. The photos themselves are magical. The lighting, the emotion. The landscape, and the pure honest emotion everyone is feeling.

It takes a special kind of person to lead with kindness. Bailey was direct with her communication so that people knew where they needed to be in the scramble of the wedding. Bailey also communicated with a smile and warmth so that while people were moving around in the chaos of the day they were still able to feel their joy. Bailey came extremely prepared. We wrote up pages and pages of details on the complicated and often simultaneously happening rituals, and from our calls it was clear Bailey had read and learned all of what we had laid out so that she knew what was meaningful to us and was aware of the logistics of capturing the special moments. Bailey constantly asked for feedback throughout the day, and made sure we got the shots we had talked about before. She even trekked with us through a meadow before the wedding started! Bailey was keenly aware of everyone’s emotions throughout the day. This was seen in how kindly and empathetically she interacted with us and other vendors, and her knack for capturing special emotional moments on camera. When I was feeling stressed or lost she somehow checked in at the exact right moments. Bailey offered to hold my phone, and worked well and respectfully with the videographer. Bailey also picked out beautiful places for the first look and for family photos.

Throughout the whole wedding planning process, when things got stressful, we would look at each other and say “It's okay because we have Bailey!!!” We truly feel so lucky. Throughout the whole day (rain, humidity, and a tiny bit of shine) Bailey had a smile on her face, which was a continual reminder for us of how much fun we were also having. We cannot recommend...

I spoke to five photographers before picking Bailey. What initially drew me to her was the colors in her photographs. I didn't want the light look that's very in right now for weddings and it took me a while to find someone who loved deep colors! Bailey uses shadow and light in her pictures in a way most wedding photographers don't. What made me decide to book her as opposed to other photographers was our first Skype call! She just asked me about my relationship instead of immediately jumping into wedding logistics and pricing. She made me feel comfortable.

I also loved her detailed questionnaires which helped me identify logistic issues I hadn't have thought of otherwise! Bailey made sure that she had all the information she needed to work on the wedding day without having to ask a bunch of questions. On the wedding day she kept calm, never pressuring me to cut a conversation short or do anything I didn't want to do. I felt like she was my advocate and because I trusted her (and my venue!) I was truly able to enjoy my wedding.

The final product she delivered blew me away! She understood my vision for the day and captured it perfectly. I got married at the Tarrytown Castle and wanted a regal look. Bailey took gorgeous, moody shots of my venue, interesting and unconventional portraits of me and my husband, traditional friends-and-family shots, and hilarious candid moments! I didn't want cookie-cutter wedding photos but I also didn't want to stray too far from convention and Bailey struck that perfect balance.

Ultimately I think Bailey is incredibly talented at reading the room, understanding the moment, feeling out people's personalities and tastes. She and her assistant made everyone comfortable and happy. And her pictures are just absolutely artful.
