
Update to my review based on Mr. Beet's response. Actually? I DO deny. I did not curse. I was quite kind - the first two times. I didn't raise my voice until round three of the runaround from you. Let's be clear - you told me that Mercato handles refunds, but at no point did you apologize for anything! You just asked if I wanted you to fire someone (what? no.) and kept saying my name for whoever was listening, likely because my name is Karen. Your approach was indeed antagonistic

I give this 3 stars as the constant foot traffic from the grocery staff make it challenging to navigate through the store. Every time I’ve visited, there are hoards of staff members moving crates, boxes, and rearranging food items and shelves. As this is a railway layout grocery store, this is a big red flag to me. It’s not normal to feel claustrophobic while shopping, and to constantly be bumping into staff members moving around with large boxes. If the staff members could hold off on this heavy foot traffic until after business hours, it would make the shopping experience much more efficient.
I mean all of this feedback constructively, as everything else about the store is great. I will continue shopping here, but I hope this can be worked on to increase...
Read moreThis has to be in the running for the best bodega in Brooklyn. Amazing selection for such a small shop, great prices, super friendly staff and fresh produce. The juice bar is amazing, thanks juice bar staff!!
And Mr. Beet is located beside Bumbo Market. Mr. Beet wins hands down. You'll find more selection in Mr. Beet at 1/20th the size.
Is everying a loss-leader at Mr. Beet? Nope, just way better prices than Dumbo, or Rite-Aid or wherever...
