Let me share a cautionary tale, so you donât end up in the same position: Do not shop at Nawab Son and Jewelers unless youâre in the market for regret dressed up as 22k gold. I purchased a ring from this establishment for $760 $805 after tax believing, like any reasonable customer, that I was paying for quality. I was told it was 22k gold, which is fine, but upon checking the weight, I noticed it only came out to 4.6 grams. That math isnât mathing. At that price point, I wasnât just overcharged I was launched into a whole new tax bracket of being scammed. Youâd think I bought a gold bar, not a hollow ring that feels lighter than a secret. Still, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back hoping to either return or exchange it for something that made sense. Thatâs when it got laughable. They told me I could exchange it but only for exactly 4.6 grams worth of gold value. No consideration for what I paid. So essentially, they wanted me to forget I dropped over $800 and just accept some new version of the same overpriced, underwhelming, featherweight ring. Letâs be real: I paid full price for an empty promise. When I said I wasnât happy with that arrangement, they flat-out refused to take the item back. No flexibility, no accountability, just blank stares and stubborn policy. So I did what any self-respecting person would do I disputed it with American Express. If Nawab Son wonât take responsibility, my credit card will. Oh and Iâm keeping the ring. Not because I love it, but because it now serves as a very expensive, very shiny, very hollow reminder to never ignore red flags when shopping for jewelry. Consider it a trophy for surviving one of the most irritating customer service experiences of my life. And while weâre here: the selection? Honestly disappointing. The kind of inventory that makes you wonder if everything else is also hollow morally or physically. The service? Defensive and dismissive. I wasnât just ignored I was treated like an inconvenience for expecting basic transparency. Bottom line: Nawab Son and Jewelers is not worth your time, your money, or your trust. Take your hard-earned cash somewhere with integrity, taste, and actual customer service. Because here? All youâre buying is a headache in a velvet box.
Updated response to owner Letâs be honest I did try to exchange the ring. But your solution? Offering me the same exact design, just with some random stones (not diamonds), for $1,200 at 4.8 grams a 0.2g increase from my original 4.6g ring, which you sold me for $805. How does that math make sense? Adding 0.2g and a few non-diamond stones suddenly triples the price? If thatâs your idea of an âupgrade,â then your pricing model is either broken or intentionally misleading. And yes I filed a chargeback. I didnât feel comfortable dealing with you directly anymore. Your response? Just confirming that I bought the ring. Thatâs not evidence of fairness. Thatâs literally just⌠proof of a transaction. You didnât address my concerns, you just submitted a receipt and hoped it would shut the conversation down. So yes, please do wait for the bankâs decision because I will, too. Iâm not backing down. I know what I bought, I know what itâs worth, and I know how I was treated. You can call yourself a family-owned business all you want, but integrity isnât about what you write in emails. Itâs about how you handle situations like this. And frankly, the way youâve handled mine...
