I called ahead and made an appointment. Decided to remove my UV nails rather than do a fill in. I was shocked when the tech started to do a “tear off” with a metro card. This is a fast way to remove hard gel but ruins your nails and my nails are already thin and weak. I didn’t think that salons actually did this. I asked to do a soak off. She gave me a bowl of pure acetone and left my nails soaking for FORTY FIVE minutes and didn’t look at my nails even once. This technique requires the gel to be scraped off as it is removed. After 45 minutes, I asked if she could have a look at them. She handed me a nail file to do it myself and said she needed to finish the woman who came after me so I needed to wait another 10-15 minutes. I have never been handed a file and told to do my own nails at a salon. Did not even look at my nails. Yes, it felt racist. And weird like I wasn’t actually a customer ….
The women getting preferential treatment was happy to receive it lol. Not even a courteous “she was here before me” or “I can wait”. It’s this kind of acceptance that allows treatment like this to continue.
I paid for my soak off and went to get my nails done at another salon. First and last time setting a foot...
Read moreGenuinely terrible. I usually get pedicures every month from a range of places, point is I know what to expect and what is not right at all. This place is not right at all. Although I haven't got my manicure done here so I don't know if that's better, the pedicure was painful and just average. Not worth the price at all. They have two different things on the price list that are the exact same thing with a $20 difference. Not that $20 is a big deal but it can add up when bringing a friend or significant other. When I pointed it out and asked for the cheaper version there was no agreement or conclusion, just kind of said yes to a bunch of questions that made no sense and I didn't know what to expect from the price. Regardless, they were ALL sick, and not that they can control that and the business needs to run but honestly it's so uncomfortable to have the entire salon coughing, clearing their throat, and sneezing. The total was $162 for my boyfriend and I. Almost $200 for a job that left me limping on my right foot because I had a visible scratch on my foot that was ignored and irritated. Also, the foot massage was a foot rub....
Read moreHorrible experience. I went in to get my nails filled, they told me they couldn't fill the type of acrylic I had and with out asking me immediately put my nails into foil and removed my nails and told me they had to do a entire new set. Then after waiting a hour they brought me over and started to do a new set. The nails took hours, and turned out terrible. These are the worst acrylic nails I have ever gotten. I asked for a simple french tip. They are chunky, have a awful paint job and after a day they have discolored and turned yellow. I paid over 100$ for these and have now just removed the nails because of how bad they are. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! A complete waist of my...
