Khaosan — Restaurant in New York

Last year, while browsing food photos online, I was instantly captivated by a Thai restaurant framed in a bloom of flowers – that was Khaosan Thai. 🌸 I finally had the chance to visit, and I must say: it exceeded all expectations. From the ambience to the artistry of the dishes and, most importantly, the flavors, everything was executed to perfection. Few restaurants manage to score high in every detail – this one absolutely does.

🍸 Cocktails First

⭐Pear No.1 – refreshing, fruit-forward, and layered with subtle flavors.

⭐White Lychee Sangria – among all the lychee cocktails I’ve tried, this one truly stands out with its complex, balanced notes.

🦀 A Crab Feast I went all in on crab dishes – three different styles, each impressive in its own way:

⭐Crab Cakes – deceptively modest in appearance, but generously packed with delicate shreds of crab meat.

⭐Crab Meat Fried Rice – a Thai staple, but here the eggs are extraordinary: silky like a custard yet fragrant like a perfect stir-fry.

⭐Spaghetti Soft Shell Crab – my absolute favorite of the night. Arriving with an irresistible aroma, it was bold, flavorful, and kissed with true wok hei.

🍛 More Highlights

⭐Thai Green Curry Roti (N) – rich, aromatic curry paired beautifully with warm, flaky roti.

⭐Seared Sea Bass in Sweet & Sour Sauce – theatrically flambéed at the table, tender fish complemented by a vibrant fruit-and-vegetable sauce.

⭐Mango Ice Cream with Sticky Rice – a playful hot-and-cold experience: the cool creaminess of ice cream against the comforting warmth of sticky rice.

✨ By the time we left, the restaurant was buzzing, even on a weekday evening – a true sign of its popularity. If you’re looking for a spot that is consistently impressive and never misses the mark, Khaosan Thai should be at the top...

First off let me start by saying this was a very last minute date night. It was a beautiful night brooklyn and my date suggested this place and I said cool I love Thai food. The ambiance is so cute it’s gives a great background for taking pictures.The hostess Spice is a breath of fresh air. She welcomes us with a smile and sat us at our table and showed us the menus. I ordered a Mango sangria which was to perfection and my date has a mango mojito and he said it’s was very smooth and good. I ordered spring rolls, pineapple fried rice with shrimp and my date had calamari,Green curry with shrimp and Thai fried rice. Our appetizers came out first and those spring rolls were so fresh, light and crispy that I said wow this is really good. My date indulged in his calamari and said it was very good wasn’t too chewy. Now the main courses come out and the food looks and smells great. My date took a bite of his food first and it was the green curry and the look on his face and his reaction let me know that we will be back sooner than later. My pineapple fried rice might have been the best I have tasted thus far. It was the perfect ending to the long day I had. Everything was immaculate and I give the beyond 5 stars. As woman you know I had to inquire about brunch and ask did they have that and the hostess Spice informed me BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH will be coming very soon. So check in the month of May ladies.
