If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I have used this bagel place since I started working in Brooklyn Heights almost 4 years ago. I buy the occasional bagel for myself for breakfast and every few weeks I buy the office staff in my building bagels (usually a dozen + butter and bream cheese). We also (the staff in my building) frequently buy the lunchtime special. This morning I went in with my daughter. She wanted a bagel with bacon and I ordered half a dozen bagels. I went to the counter where I ordered my daughters food with a guy who was on the phone at the same time as taking my order - he walked away and I was not sure if he took my order so when the other guy (a short fat, dirty scruffy looking dude) came to the counter I asked him for the half dozen bagels then said I wanted the bagel for my daughter and the bacon - well done. This is where he flipped hid lid, started critizing me for doubling up on the bagel order, fired the bagels on the counter and then ignored me while I was trying to pay and served someone else. Of course the bagel and bacon where not given to us the way we wanted and I stupidly purchased almost $20 worth of goods anyway - it will be the last time I EVER set foot in this place. I should have known not to since it has already been shut down by the health dept and judging by how the obnoxious/ignorant server looked this morning it is no wonder. I will be making sure none of my colleagues buy from there again either! We were both so upset and almost in tears over this moron. No bagel is worth this horrendous lack of customer service. Hope he feels like a big man - he sure doesn't...
Read moreI would buy a dozen of different flavors, plus several cream cheese flavors. They have about a dozen flavors like poppy, sesame, salt, garlic, everything, bialy, whole wheat, 9 grain, sun-dried tomato, cinnamon & raisin, pumpernickel, plain, but they don't have any asiago cheese bagels. They have a half-dozen flavors of cream cheese like strawberry, walnut & raisin, olive, vegetable, plain, sun-dried tomato, salmon and tofu varieties. My favorite combination is pumpernickel bagel with olive cream cheese! Put your bagels in a plastic bag, seal it with a twist tie or lock-tight clip, and put them in your refrigerator to make them last longer. Toast them before serving and they will be most delicious even after you've been bageled-out the 1st day. Plus they are 24 hours, like NYC is...
Read moreI love your cream cheese and lox everything bagels. I do my morning walk past your store most morning and get your bagel once a week. There was one morning that the guy at the front was serving a lady with larger order and so I was happy to wait for a while. I didn’t mind that at all as I came from a small business background. However , two other customers walked in and someone came out from the back and that I am sure he noticed me first because he looked at me first but proceeded to serve two white ladies. They just walked in. I can’t help feeling it’s because they are white and dressed appropriately. I was in my sweaty...
