Terrible haircut. Embarrassed to even go outside. Don't go here. Throwing your money in the garbage is better value than coming here because at least then you won't also have a bad haircut. This is by far the WORST haircut I've ever received in my life. Even though I explicitly told him to put my part in a certain place, he 1) missed and moved it down by a half inch 2) made it far, far too wide, and 3) added a weird bend near the front of my head. When I told him that he put my part in the wrong place, he got angry and told me that I should've clarified where I want my part, which I did at the very beginning of the haircut. He tried to tell me I didn't tell him. Yes, I did tell him. I showed him exactly where I wanted the part (where my hair naturally parts) and he ignored it, then tried to blame me for not stopping me. Nick, you're the barber, I shouldn't be stopping you from doing anything. It's also the most obvious place to put the part and you failed at that task. The rest of the haircut was also extremely uneven. When viewed from the front, there's literal TERRACES of different hair lengths. I asked for a simple fade and got a hack job. He also tried to say "I've been cutting hair for 60 years and your hair is very difficult to cut." What's the use in your literal decades of experience if you can't cut a basic head of hair? Thanks, after hearing that I feel better about my terrible haircut.

Nick has been my barber for over 11 years now. He has been working in Hell’s Kitchen before Hell’s Kitchen was a cool area. I always enjoy the conversation and I’m never disappointed with the results. It is most likely the best value for your money in the city!

Nick gave me the perfect haircut I asked for, along with a very good beard shave! Furthermore the cost is absolutely correct and he is very kind and funny. Absolutely recommended!

I really want to like this place, since it is a small shop and the barber seems like a really nice person. But I got quite possibly my worst haircut ever here. The way he cuts your hair leaves it uneven all over the place. There were many long strands sticking out and the top was totally butchered. Maybe he just doesn’t know how to cut Asian hair, but there was a lack of precision and quality. It was a 15 dollar haircut, so it has that going for the place. Sadly wont be returning, I’m sure others have had...

Nick is the best barber I've ever known, and probably the best barber in New York City. He's been cutting hair for over sixty years so by now he’s given haircuts on every kind of hair and shape of head imaginable. Don't let the low prices and subterranean location fool you into thinking Nick's service must be substandard because the opposite is true. If you’re looking for great service at low prices, come here. I've been coming to Nick’s shop for twenty years and I sincerely hope he continues to cut...
