This place is a gem that we are almost hesitant to share! Authentic Italian food and hospitality in the center of NYC pretty much right there at Times Square. We have tried 4cheese pizza and fresh mozzarella basil with mushrooms pizza both simply amazing, thin crust, homemade sauce, melts in your mouth. Fried calamari are great, not too much batter and fried to perfection. French Onion soup is one of the best we ever ate. Mussels in white whine and garlic sauce are out of this world. You just can’t go wrong with this place, everything is so delicious and perfectly portioned to share. The tiramisu and cheesecake are both homemade and delicious. The only problem is what to choose because they got quite a menu. The restaurant is small and cozy, gets really busy with how beautiful the place is and how good everything tastes. And they get your food out fast and efficient despite being super busy. Don’t forget about the drinks - the cocktails, wine and espresso are all superb.

I went to this place alone 2 nights in a row. First night for a pasta and drink and 2nd for the tiramisu which I was too full to eat the previous day. I was welcomed by this friendly gentleman who sat me down and gave me time to look through the menu. I couldn't decide what to eat except I really wanted to eat pasta and he asked me what kind of sauce I liked. He recommended me something (chicken francese topped with pasta) that I have never eaten before and I love it! The chicken was tender and the lemon butter wine sauce (I think) was flavourful and delicious. The pink gin was nicely done and they were definitely not stingy with the alcohol. Also my first time. 2nd night I was there, the same gentleman (sorry that I didn't get his name) recommended me to get an espresso martini which would go well with the tiramisu. It did! If I am in New York long term, I will be sure to make this my regular go to place. Till my next visit to this country!

Food Amazing !! california pizza was great recommended for sure, the blend of feta cheese and black olives tasted delicious. The margariti pizza was alright but good enough. Price wise it was alright not that expensive compared to the location and near by restaurants. Staff and service The staff was a bit rude and didnt wanted to explain what the menu have. I asked about the ingredients of the pasta and the guy just got a bit offended ! I ordered an appetitizer, a soup, the guy just forgot that from the whole order !! I dint bother asking again !! But the guy was good enough to give us some extra olives when asked!! Lastly we tipped around 7.8% of tip depsite the service i just mentioned above !! But even then the manager had to the audacity to come back to us and ask for more tip ! Anyhow The food is great ! Price is good enough !! Recommended to go !

DISAPPOINTING!!!!

8/26/2025- Today I decided to give this place another try. A few honest points to share. Today, I ordered 2 eggplant sandwiches (heroes). Today, they both arrived using the same bread type. BIGGEST SETBACK: In DoorDash they describe this sandwich using mozzarella WHILE IN GRUBHUB … There is NO DESCRIPTION. I received both sandwiches with ricotta cheese. What a disappointment. This management has no idea on how to present consistency or product. As a native New Yorker, I hate to be cheated. Never again. This place has no idea of what food quality should be. And slowly is moving towards fast-paced food. Order at your own risk … DEPENDENT ON THE APP!

The sad thing, the manager should know how they are preparing their sandwiches and have done NOTHING to update DoorDash! Ricotta cheese does not equal Mozzarella!!!!!! No brainer!!!!!

3/22- ordered 3 chicken parm’s. Absolutely all sandwiches were dry! The sandwiches were inconsistent. 1 used Italian sesame bread, other 2 cheap soft bread you find from low quality stores. 60 bucks down the drain NEVER NEVER AGAIN … Chic FilA is way better. I wish the owner could see his own product on a Saturday. Pics on DoorDash.

(Never refunded for my order on Nov 3rd. Don’t let this happen to you!)

11/3 update: To Manager: I am still waiting for my refund for my order on the 31st not the 28th. I already received my refund for those horrible appetizers delivered on the 28th. This is from the West 44th restaurant location. Have you tried your food recently? How do you validate your product quality? Are you there all the time??? Do you have cameras? Why do you keep the door opened on warm days???? I regret not have taken a picture. But next time I might. If you are proud of the calamari and mozzarella sticks you serve, then you should have eaten what they served me on the 28th. Tell your staff to stop making pizzas ahead of time and placing them on top of the oven for pickup because that is what happened to me!!!! Note to Management: Review what you serve to your customers. Besides replying to me, … why don’t you make an effort to refund me for my pizza ordered on the 31st?

10/31- posting my 2nd review here. My refund for pizza on the 31 st not refunded. I had ordered pizza again. I decided to pick up a large cheese via Grubhub. In less than 3 minutes, the Grubhub app tells me it’s ready. What??? Last time I ordered, I had to wait 28 minutes or so before able to pick up. This restaurant is 5 doors away from my apartment. Same block. However, this pizza WAS PREMADE ALREADY. When I arrived home and opened the box, the cheese had dried and the sauce was warm. 33 bucks down the drain. Called Grubhub to complain. They did not refund. I had to file an appeal. This Restaurant is NOT CONSISTENT and has lost my loyalty. I am one who does not throw his money away lavishly. This restaurant needs to honor their food and stop pre-making pizzas! They have lost my business. So pricey and not good!

10/28/2023 Only the Pizza is worth it! Expect to pay 30 bucks for a decent size. The small pizza is just too small and whimsy. Stay away from the calamari and mozzarella sticks. It’s not fresh, poorly breaded and you can tell it is bought frozen then cooked. Just like rubber! The cuts are not even and just horrible. Sticks were bland. You can tell it’s bought frozen then cooked too. The atmosphere is pathetic with door open and the smell of pot and debris coming in! Pizza is pricey but getting real cheese, great dough and good sauce. They can do better with their appetizers if they really wanted to. Up the block there is nothing like Carmines! Yes, truly great! Just like the one in Atlantic City! For a few bucks more, it’s...

EDIT: Restaurant management reached out and comp'ed the unsatisfactory dishes. They clearly wanted to resolve the issue to everyone's satisfaction.

Original Review: Our experience started poorly here and did not really get better. We clicked on their link to make a reservation which took us to a location that told us they were not even on the site to make one for. So we called the 44th Street location at 4pm, which has a voice recording saying from 12 to 5pm, to call the other location to make reservations. So we did. Except the person that picked up there first told us to call the other location. When I told him about the recording he just told us that they did not take reservations for less than 6 people and he hung up.

One of the key reasons we picked this restaurant is their menu on the website lists several vegan options and we had a vegan person with us, so lots of vegan choices was great.

We got to the restaurant around 6 and got very lucky to get an open table right away as they were crowded. We sat and placed our orders. When we ordered, the menu handed out did not have the vegan options from the website, just vegan ravioli, so we asked for the vegan menu, the host went to check then came back and said they did not have a vegan menu, just the ravioli. So that was what the person ordered. I ordered the garlic knots but asked for it to come with the main dish (chicken parm) as I like to dip in the sauce.

The food came, and most dishes were fine. Of course, the server messed up mine and instead of chicken parm brought something else very different. And no garlic knots. I told him it was the wrong dish and he went back to have the right one made. After only 5 minutes my dish did come. Still no garlic knots, so I asked if that would be coming soon and he said yes, just a minute. 5 minutes later still no knots. Basically my dish was done when the knots came. They were not worth the wait. They were the worst knots I've ever had. Basically tasteless rolls, with a huge pile a minced garlic in the middle. As for my chicken parm, it was just ok, I have had better chicken parm from house of pizza shops. Everyone else did enjoy their dishes though, so there is that.

When the bill came, it had the wrong dish on the bill as well, so that would have been a rip off. We would not...

Disappointing! Slow service! We were able to look at the entire menu and decide what we were going to order before we were greeted. Finally a rude server comes over and asked if we were ready to order before asking what we wanted to drink. We ordered garlic knots for an appetizer which arrived after our pizza we ordered. Server did not stop back we had to ask another server where was our appetizer. We had to tell another server what appetizer we ordered. Finally as we were finishing our pizza we could see our appetizer sitting in the window as our server stood right by it talking to another server. Now 2 bits left of our pizza we get our appetizer without our sauce. Now after we were done with our pizza we finally had our appetizer. We had to repeat the app order 3 times! Server never apologize and they charged full price after it arrived after dinner. Once we paid and he returned our card it had another tables bill in with ours. Another table had to go up to the bar to ask if they were going to greeted. Had to ask for our check. NOT A TRUE ITALIAN HOSPITALITY RESTAURANT! It was by far the worst dinning experience ever! Thanks for...
