The Brazen Tavern has hosted two separate events for us. Each time, they have gone above and beyond in customer service and hospitality. Not only was it a pleasure to meet and work with their staff, but each encounter was pleasant and a positive experience. The space was perfect for what we needed, being both intimate and cozy but roomy enough for all our needs. The highlight of the evening, though was being able to meet one of the owners Gerladine. She took care of our every need, always checking in and making sure we were taken happy.
If you are looking for a delicious meal (truffle mac and cheese) or to host an event, please consider this wonderful establishment.
To name just a few of the many other things they did for us......
Set up a slide show for our use, and even assisted us during the night so that our slide show would continue to loop through the presentation
-Created alternate dietary food options for some of our guests with strict diets
-Provided the most delicious and most beautifully presented food (especially the buffalo spring rolls) All the food was delicious!!
-Quick Correspondences via email back and forth prior to the actual events
-Flexibility and willingness to order more food during the event
-Attended to our every need the entire night
-Probably the best customer service I have had in NYC in a very long time, AND this was from each member of...
Read moreIrish pub with happy hour until 8pm and a real fireplace in the back. Came here on a Monday night to catch up with a friend over drinks. The sangria was tasty and not overly sweet. We split a plate of shepherd pie nachos that I really enjoyed. The sauce was sweet and there was also mashed potatoes sprinkled throughout. The waitress was super sweet and very accommodating - she also had the best Irish accent. She told us to go ahead and take the chairs by the fireplace which was such a good idea. The fireplace was in the back of the restaurant and so are the bathrooms. The chairs were comfy and there were couches as well. It’s a pretty big space so you could come with a big group or you could cozy up in the back and hang out for a couple of hours. There was also a couch in case the two chairs are occupied. They do take credit card and it’s a quick walk from Times Square, not not touristy. Overall it’s cool that it has a long happy hour with friendly service...
Read moreReally nice place in the heart of the theater district. It reminds me of an old time pub. They have a bar along many tables to sit and eat. The place is a little narrow so I imagine it would be hard to move hard if it gets crowded. We were there on marathon Sunday at brunch time. Not too crowded as they just opened. The food is excellent. Fresh ingredients fresh fruit and they make excellent omelettes. I had the omelette with fresh goat cheese. Excellent!!! They also make an outstanding bloody Mary and Mimosas.😁😁😁 They have a great selection of foods to choose from. They make really good burgers and crispy fries. If you're vegan...no problem they have a good selection for you.
