I used to come to this nail salon because I was a client of Nicki's. Nicki was phenomenal, very personable, and she is missed. However, the others at this salon have no type of respectable people skills or etiquette. My last time coming here was several weekends ago when I was met with disrespect for the last time. I greet them and they always give a dirty look like it's a personal issue so I stopped greeting them. I've noticed that the last three times I have sat in Tommy's chair, there has been no consistency with the pricing. There is a price board for a reason and it shouldn't be a reason for a person like me who doesn't get excessively long nails to discuss pricing after service. Every time I ask for the price prior, I'm always being looked at like I have four different heads and he doesn't speak any English just like everyone else in the salon. One of the newer Vietnamese women who just started doing pedicures did an unsatisfactory job the last time and I expressed that I did not want her to do my pedicure. I do have the right as the consumer to request this and this is my money I'm spending. I was met with an attitude by Tommy and the staff once again, talked about in Vietnamese and I decided to leave once I received that type of treatment. For one, they will overcharge you and act like it's an issue when you address them. Number two, when you are servicing the general public you should be able to communicate and understand the English language so the attitude is unnecessary. I have taken my business elsewhere where I am appreciated, respected, and I can communicate with people who have a level of professionalism. This place isn't it and needs to be reported for...
Read moreThese people made were doing okay until they didnât. I went in to get my nails done on a Monday, by next day Tuesday things began to fade and peel, and while I was upset that I had to go back in just before work , I became more disappointed when they began speaking in their native tongue about it, especially since the one who did my nails speaks perfect English, and she never acknowledged me. Another person did it, and you can tell she wasnât happy, she kept pulling my hands, and when she was done, she just walked away without saying a word!!! So me feeling bad, I took out a $10dollar bill and was going to at least give a tip. It when they saw the bill, she must have said : what should I charge and the women (with all the tattoos) said $10!! Seeing the $10 bill in my hand!! Knowing that I should not have even been charged because it was clearly their error. I was just going to give the girl a tip!! DEFINITELY will not go back, and I will DEFINITELY tell as many people as I can so that they can make judge for themselves. The biggest problem with these and others people that come here from other lands is, that WE are idiots. We can tell when we are spoken about!! What we need to do is 1) learn their language even just the basics, and 2) we need to open up more English speaking nail spots, especially in the Bronx, I have been thinking HARD on it for myself. Stay...
Read moreIâd give it 5 stars if they were a sanitary salon. There is NO cleaning or hand washing in between clients. They donât sanitize or disinfect tools. So if someone gets cut whether they bleed or not, itâs used on the next person. The pedicures are not worth the risk of infection because they use the same tools over and over again. Nothing is sterilized. Even some of the staff do each otherâs nails and then use the same tools on the client right after. They eat food and then donât wash their hands. Other times they use the same tools thatâs being used on someoneâs feet on someone elseâs hands right in front of you with a smile. I donât understand that smh. Bathroom doesnât have any soap. But the sad part is that they are pretty skilled at nail designs and the acrylic nail set last long before needing a filling. I wish they would get it together because if the health department saw what occurs here, it would be shut down. Overall Itâs just not worth the risk...
