Lechonera Pollo Sabroso — Restaurant in New York

The staff were chatting & giggling among themselves that they didn't notice when we walked in & called out to them to even be able to tend to us. Instead they tended to other customers that walked in after us, when they finally noticed it wasn't until I spoke to them in spanish yet they didn't even get our order right. We wanted small beans($2) they gave us a medium($4) charged my card before we noticed it was the wrong size. When we asked about the charge they then turned around to say that one of the ladies showed us & we agreed to that size, without them telling us the price we assumed it was the $2 beans they told us they sold. They swindled us into paying for the bigger beans when leading us to believe it was the small size we agreed upon. The chicharron de pollo (fried chicken chunks) & beans weren't even warm let alone hot when we got home, ended up having to reheat it, this place is not that far from where we live so it didn't get cold from being outside. We rarely ever go to this place for this reason they are unprofessional, unpleasant, & can be rude for no reason. The food is not that great, mediocre at best. I don't & won't recommend this...

Ok! For starter when you go into any place to eat you want a friendly face... not someone that looks like she hates life! I order my food I was served quickly... but my white rice tasted like it was leftover rice that was reheated but it was still cold! Sucked cuz the meat was actually delicious! I told the server and they immediately removed the rice from the bar ant brought out fresh rice... the reason why I’m giving it 3 stars!

1. you can tell that the rice you was serving me was not good lumpy and cold
2. the small cup of tamarindo juice with must of being ice is not worth $3 it was so much ice I could not poke my straw thru.
3. TOSTONES where awful if I can post a pic I will! But they where cut really thin...

Went to this restaurant today with my family of 4 not only was this customer service extremely horrible management did nothing better the situation as you can see, the establishment was fairly empty and all staff proceeded to sit down and ignore clientele manager included. After waiting we were served food that was cold. The waitress did not give any utensils or plates and when asked for a cup with ice she just sat there and hold me to wait until she done. I asked if there was another waitress that can assist me as you can see in the photograph they were apparently all too busy sitting down.
