Brought in a pair of frames I had bought during my trip to NY to have lenses added, paid around $370 (don't have the exact number on me) for single vision polycarbonate lenses. I went to Petite Optique because I read they have one day lenses. This turned out to not be the case, which was OK, I continued with the purchase and they shipped out the glasses to me. A few months after using the frames, I noticed a crack on my left lens. I sent them an email and they replaced them, no questions asked. They did mention that the polycarbonate lenses do not have a warranty when I told them about the crack, they still replaced the broken lens and even the unbroken one. A few months later, I see yet another crack in the same exact spot that there was a crack before. I understand mistakes happen with lenses, but I can't imagine what I could have done to provoke a crack in the same exact spot on my glasses after just a few wears. This time, they would not cover the lenses. They did offer to do the lenses in a nicer material, for the same price as my polycarbonate ones. I do want to note that everyone has been very kind and helpful throughout the process. It feels insane that I would be expected to cover the cost of lenses that are breaking in the same spot, and not from misuse. The two stars is for the lack of warranty on their single vision, polycarbonate lenses, and the price being quite a bit higher than other places for polycarbonate frames. For what they charged, I could have got a much nicer material to begin with somewhere else, places that also would have offered a warranty. I hate to leave a bad review, the folks here are genuinely kind, but I think people should be aware of the lack of warranty on their single vision polycarbonate lenses. I've now wasted upwards of $300 dollars on lenses that can't withstand extremely careful and casual use. I'm now getting the lenses replaced by a local optician, with nicer materials, for $100 less than what was charged to me for the polycarbonate. It sucks losing money on this but you live and you learn. Still, two stars for their incredible selection of frames, friendly demeanor and attempt to fix the issue by replacing the lenses. I do not think the folks at Petite Optique are malicious, I just think no warranty on overpriced lenses is something people should be aware of. First photo is from the first crack, second one is from the second crack.

I found Petite Optique when I needed to refresh my style however I was very unsure how to choose frames that matched my personality and facial structure. The team made my experience very personalized to me and I’ve purchased over 6 frames over the last year already. Almost every week I’m approached by kind strangers in the street for a compliment. I feel absolutely myself - a more confident version of myself and the quality of the lenses with my prescription are wonderful. They are also my go-to for all the unique pairs of foreign brands including Kuboraum amongst others. A true gem in NYC!

I wish I could give Petit Optique 10 (Ten) stars, but I can only give them 5 (five). Petit Optique is--by far--the best and most professional optometrists in New York City. I say that without grandiosity or hyperbole. They not only have the most varied collection of designer frames (including the stylish Kuboraum of Berlin/Italy) on the East Coast, but the team of Lyudmila, Katrina, Terry the optometrist, and Ibrahim are personable, courteous, and professional. They care about the customer. They are now my go-to for all of my optometric needs. Bravo!

Oh my goodness. Where do I begin! I just can’t thank Petite Optique for their superb customer service. I was so taken from the first time I came to the store in 2008 and still love them and their service. They have such an eye for taste and go out of their way to make sure that the customer is happy. They are well educated in their field and the merchandise they sell. The optometrist is on point with her prescriptions and consultations. And as far as the owners of the store, I can’t speak highly enough about them. This is a family oriented business and from the Mother, Father, son and daughter, they are just a pleasure to do business with. I have an extremely high prescription and you can’t tell because of the great lenses they offer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to come to this store if you are looking for quality products and services. It’s so hard these days to find a place where you can come and speak freely with them and they give their honest opinion on what glasses you should buy based on your prescription, shape of face, skin tone and business use. (The glasses I have on in my picture is from Petite Optique. I love these frames and received so much complements on these glasses). Each time I go there I buy two pairs of glasses. And LET ME BE CLEAR—they do not make me buy two pairs, I do it because I want to have an extra pair in case something happens to one of my glasses. Petite Optique, job well done in all areas of business. I pray blessings abundantly for all of you because of the love you poor out to me. I can’t thank you enough for all you have done for me. I am SURELY a customer of yours...
