Philip's Candy — Local services in New York

I can not gush how much I love Philips candy! Philip and his daughter were manning the store when my husband and I arrived. A few families with the most excited looking kids arrived while we were there - repeat customers - a few putting in orders of candy apples for a party.

Tl;Dr - go to Philips - bring cash - enjoy.

For apptox $20 we got: .25 lb fudge 1 Carmel apple w nuts 1 traditional egg cream Cotton candy .25 lb candied ginger .5 lb choco orange peels 1 Choco guayaba .5 lb truffles Coconut bar Marzipan bar Ice cube choco 6 choco covered marshmallows Gallons of happiness :)

We tried everything - omg good.

Next time I look forward to frozen banana, marshmallow on a stick, and the Carmel corn.

This semi hidden gem, is a blast from the past. Originally from Coney Island (Luna Park), they made the move to Staten island years ago, and have been here handing out delicious candy that most love, but can't find on the shelves anymore. As a child, my mother would take my sisters and I to Coney Island (like her father did for her) and we would get candied apples and red licorice shoe laces. When we went and found they were closing, it was a very sad thing for us. We moved to Staten Island and found they had moved here as well.
