The top photo only shows part of the front of my temple, THE ACTORS TEMPLE, so named after many Broadway Jewish actors would come to temple after matinee, after meeting the Rabbi who came to see them. Our Rabbi Jill H cares for us. Our temple is very old and many famous Jewish entertainers are remember here. We are open to all peoples without judgement, married, single, LGBT etc communities, and all Jewish religious ceremonies are performed by Rabbi Jill. We are also an Off Off Broadway space we share with small companies or single actors putting on a show a couple night a week but never during our Sabbath or Jewish holidays. Respect and balance for all here. Lectures, special performances and movies of Jewish history for our congregation, always something going on with us. It is a well love and used space with a very historical history. They've thought about all the little things that might be a challenge in taking young kids to the theater, and then they've skillfully solved those things, including: -Entertainment if you get there early -Accommodating staff, so wonderful -Booster seats -Snacks for purchase or you can bring, also books for purchase -Main character meet and greet before and after
The show itself was perfectly geared towards young kids, it was the perfect amount of times, cute songs, costumes, sets, and story.
An overall perfect experience, highly recommended...

My husband and I frequently disagreed about religious observance and both of us completely fell in love with the Friday night services. there is always something to be gained from Rabbi Hausman's interpretations and I look forward to hearing how her thoughtful intelligence works around what can be seemingly irrelevant "lessons." Don't expect a choir, focus on theatre or music, this is a small group of extremely diverse people who seemingly come together to learn and pray. A treasure worth...
