Listen. I’ve been coming here for 5+ years. We used to LOVE this place. It was my favorite spot when I lived in NYC and we used to make it a point to have dinner there every time we made a trip in after I moved. Always get the same thing, the Cashew King! BUT, they completely changed the menu. We were informed that one of the partial owners changed. They did still have that dish under another name…but it was SPICY, did not taste the same at all, AND was HALF THE PORTION FOR THE SAME PRICE. We were very disappointed. We said it wasn’t BAD, but we’re sad about it and continued on without complaining. We also ordered the same app which had half the amount of pieces as well. THEN came the service. We sat there for about 35 minutes where our waiter did not even attempt to ask how we were. I had a full bowl of my meal I barely touched and he never asked if anything was wrong or even asked about drink refills. We were brushed aside when we would try to get attention or ask questions when it came to what had changed. We also are very low maintenance people with not much of an expectation for dining when it comes to eating out. I finally got a box and the check because I had to ask even though He took care of both tables beside us without hesitation. When my mom selected to leave no tip on the mobile device they bring over, he hovered over her shoulder and asked if we were leaving a cash tip since we didn’t tip. (which is NOT something we usually do especially since I was a server for a long time.) My mom said yes to get him to get him off our back. THIS MAN stood in the corner and WATCHED like a hawk while I packed my food ensuring we were leaving him a tip after he didn’t pay us any mind the entire time we were there. He finally came over when we awkwardly didn’t know what to do, to clear our dishes…we grabbed our stuff and left. BUT THEN, he chased us out of the restaurant yelling ma’am and when my mom kept walking he got nasty and rude because we didn’t leave him a tip he did not deserve. Personally if I have poor service I usually will just leave 15% now a days… but this whole experience was disheartening when I’ve been a customer for 5+ years with no complaints. Chiang Mai Sausage (You never had sausage like this! This traditional Northern style spicy pork sausage served with special accouterments of steamed rice vermicelli, carrots, cucumbers, ginger & fresh greens}

Gai Nueng {Steamed marinated chicken thigh with lemongrass, Northern style Thai curry paste, garnished with cilantro. Served with steamed jasmine rice}

BBQ Spare Ribs {We "spare" no ribs! These premium pork ribs are marinated in VIVy's own blend of herbs & spices served with steamed jasmine rice & vegetables, garnished with sesame seeds}

Khao Soi { The best way to get to Chiang Mai without getting charged extra for luggage. Egg noodles in our special curry broth, pickled mustard green, red onions & dried shallots. Topped with crispy egg noodles. We only made this dish with chicken on the bone & shrimp, just because we think it's the best way to do it
