Just had an awesome lunch at Fresh from Hell. The food was indeed very fresh. I had the turkey and avocado sandwich with a banana on the side and the Mister had a half tuna sandwich with a bowl of tomato cheddar soup. The mister loved his tuna sandwich and he even ate the avocado that came on it despite the fact that he doesn't normally enjoy avocado. I tried his soup and we both agree the tomato cheddar soup was the bomb! I loved my sandwich as well; it wasn't swimming in the honey mustard, just lightly flavored with it. Yummy! The baguette that it was served on was nice and firm on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect! The banana was--a banana, but it was very fresh and I did not feel price gouged because I was purchasing it at a restaurant. I was charged a very fair .50 cents for that banana! They don't sell soft drinks, which is to be expected of a health conscious eatery, but something to be aware of if you are just popping in for a quick bite and wanting a Coke with your sandwhich. Read moreStrange and chaotic experience here because they had a breakdown in their Wi-Fi meaning they couldn't take orders by card. I was really hungry and really determined to get my kitchen sink bowl and celery juice so I figured out exact change. The staff there did a great job with the food but the girl taking the order was a little bit unfocused and didn't really help me out as much as she could have. Having said that she was young and I did get my order eventually. This is the first time I have ever had an acai bowl and I thought it was just the loveliest thing. There was quite a lot going on and yes it tasted healthy, but everybody had some different texture for you to discover which made it an appealing meal. I felt like the celery juice did my body good although if I had to do it all over again I would have chosen something with a little...
Read moreEdit - second visit: gave it a second chance and ordered Hawaiian Lover. I might just not be the fan of the açai bowl here. I used to have organic açai base a friend made at home, or those bowls in California taste better. I could still feel the spoiled fruit taste in the acai base, but I started to get used to the sweetness. Fruits are fresh and tasty as always.
First visit: Ordered a classic açai bowl. It was packed well and looked pretty, but the taste was rather disappointing. The acai base tasted like spoiled fruits with a little bad smell, and it was way too sweet. Neither do they have nutrition facts, so I don’t know how much sugar was put in. The fruits were fresh and good. I would give the shop a second try and see if there’s any improvements to...
