Run away from this place!

If I could give this place a 0 star then I would. This shop is no different then visiting a car dealership! Upon either calling or visiting this place for the first time, they are extremely sweet and friendly even promising to make accommodations if you need the work to be finished by a specific date/time. Once you leave your jewelry pieces in their care, only God knows what they do with them after. I brought 2 sets of brand new precious gemstones to be drilled and polished so that they can be made into bracelets/necklace’s. I was quoted that the job will be finished in 2 weeks which was fine.

That was a complete lie!! Not only did it take 4 weeks for them to finish the job, about half of my order was returned to me heavily damaged!! Even the technician who was helping me checkout also acknowledged that my pieces were damaged while drilling so he went to ask the manager name Michael if he can make any accommodations but the manager became extremely hostile and aggressive!! All in all, I would recommend anyone to do a little bit of research to find a more reputable company before going to R Gems since you may not even receive your original...

I visited R Gems twice yesterday. I was looking for a specific gemstone in an exact size. The first time I visited, the person who was supposed to help me didn’t want me to measure the stone. When I asked them, they said they were already measured. I didn’t push it so I bought the stones anyway. They ended up being too large for the project I needed, so I went back an hour or so later to exchange them or get different stones. The same employee started talking to me again and I explained that they were too large for the project, and the employee began arguing with me. They were being extremely rude and unprofessional (they also did this right in front of another customer). I said again that I just wanted the correct sized stones. So they began measuring for me (it didn’t seem like I was allowed to do it myself) and after every stone they said “is this good?” The employee grew quite impatient with me and I finally got stones close to the needed size and left. They treated me like a nuisance and this particular person clearly did not want me there. I left very uncomfortable with the interaction and do not plan on...

Michael will promise you anything but will NOT ever follow thru. Says it will be ready in a week, expect a month at least!!! The stones are bad quality. I've had stones from them that completely lost the color. If you bring your own, expect it to be damaged. They will charge more for using a credit card. Their prices are outrageous and not consistent. Forget their ridiculous texting system as no one will ever get back to you. You must go there to be told another week, every week for at least 4 weeks, when the promised time was 1 week. And the "genius" employees are rude AF! But not surprising when Michael is the boss, his arrogance is thru the roof. Horrible service, extremely poor quality products and services.
