Everything about my experience at Salon de Beaute was nothing short of exceptional.
As this was my first time getting lash extensions, I had a bunch of questions that were all immediately answered--both before my appointment when I contacted them and during a thorough explanation of the lash extension process after I was warmly greeted at the door.
When you first walk in you are greeted by 2 lovely ladies and brought to sit on a great couch and offered still or sparkling water. Very relaxing music is playing, everything in the room looks pristine, and the environment was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the downtown NYC summer. It was something I was not expecting and it was wonderful.
The pre-explanation was fantastic because I had no idea what was about to happen, but felt totally secure by the time the process started. I asked them to choose the lash style they thought would look best for me and they were spot on! They really take the time to examine your eyes and suggest the best option for you. If you are a newbie like I was, I highly suggest asking for their expert opinion, they will steer you in the best direction.
I was taken to a very comfortable table to lay down and a man, or really I should say artist, started the lash process. He was extremely kind and gentle and makes you feel at ease every step of the way. And the end result--better than I could have imagined! Really, it is the perfect look. I felt so great and my husband loved it so much that we ended up going out that night, just because we both felt fancier having my lashes look so fabulous.
They definitely won a new customer in me, and I will certainly be recommending them to all of my friends. 5 stars...

Read moreI’d never gotten lash extensions before, but I was curious, and a friend recommended this place. Thoughts: 1. Try 80 your first time. That was enough for me. I wanted a mascara-ed but not falsies look and got exactly that. 2. They do a really thorough consultation that covers options from fullness to shape to type to length, color, etc. The customization is great. 3. If looking for a full but not false look, don’t do cat-eye. I would change this the second time around. 4. I was worried that getting mink would mean animal cruelty, but they told me it’s all synthetic, so I’m happy to hear that. 5. If it’s your first time, just be aware that it might sting for a moment at the end when you open your eyes, but it’s only momentary. 6. You will have to be very careful with your lashes if you want them to last. I don’t think I can handle this responsibility long-term, so I’ll probably go back to mascara, but the saved time getting ready in the morning was almost worth it. Okay, that’s...
