Shalom Journeys Inc. — Local services in New York

The Shalom Journeys Heritage tour in February 2020 was for me the life changing event I had been expecting but not only because of the quality of the events included in the tour. In the TelAviv area with Levi and through the rest of the journey to Jerusalem, the North, the Negev, the Dead Sea and Eilat with Meni, our two small groups had become a diverse family blended by our tour guide drivers with encyclopedic knowledge, personally fascinating life stories, just the right blend of interpersonal humor, and brilliant efficiency throughout our travels. They delivered everything promised and bonus surprises every day seemingly tailored to our specific group. We saw traffic delays at a distance and waiting lines after we left a site but never experienced any ourselves. To top it all off, on several occasions, bright interested young tourists from other tours would drift off from their groups and follow at a discreet distance to listen to Meni. A call every few days from Shalom was most assuring as well as their successful interventions on my behalf when I had made mistakes on some adjustment I had made to some personal plans at the end of the tour. I usually do not write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after this amazing trip. My brother and I have been wanting to go to Israel for years and when we decided to do so, I did an an insane amount of research before choosing to go with Shalom Journeys.

From the start, Jonathan was utterly incredible and always accessible to answer any questions. The pricing was fair and they even accommodated our request for extra long beds as we are both very tall. The trip itself was beyond smooth from pick-up, to drop-off and the itinerary was utterly unreal and incredible. The sights that we saw were jaw-dropping, the buses were comfortable and clean and the tour guides were kind, knowledgeable and really friendly; the tour guides really made the trip incredible.

What I also liked was during the trip, I heard from the owners of Shalom Journeys several times to ask if all was well- a very personal touch that did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated.

Shalom Journeys is a first rate, 5 star organization that provided exceptional service in every respect. Jonathan answered numerous questions both prior to and during our trip - the consummate professional, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and responsive. The accommodations were excellent, the tour guides were fantastic, the vehicles were comfortable and in excellent condition, and the itinerary for the 13 day heritage tour couldn't have been better. I cannot say enough good things about our experience, the tour itself, the customer service, and every aspect of the experience.
