I had the worst experience at this shoe store, all due to the unprofessional and unpleasant behavior of Anna. I came to the store with a friend who was interested in buying shoes. Anna was assisting my friend, and everything seemed to be going well. While waiting, I decided to browse the men’s section and found a pair of shoes I wanted to try.
Since Anna's client was my friend, I approached Ty for help. Ty was fantastic—relaxed, attentive, and willing to assist me right away. Unfortunately, as soon as Anna noticed Ty helping me, she started complaining. She argued that Ty shouldn’t assist me because she should handle all customer interactions.
Her focus seemed entirely on her commission rather than providing a good shopping experience. Meanwhile, Ty remained calm and professional throughout the ordeal. He didn’t argue back, instead opting for respectful eye contact and maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. I could tell he was frustrated but determined to keep things positive.
The situation became increasingly uncomfortable. Anna continued her one-sided rant while the shoes I requested were being delivered. I couldn’t believe her behavior. I finally spoke to Anna directly, explaining how her behavior was making the experience unpleasant. To my surprise, she brushed off my concerns and claimed she didn’t understand why I was upset.
At that point, I had no interest in staying. I left the store without buying anything, deeply disappointed.
The only positive aspect of this experience was Ty. He remained calm, professional, and focused on customer service despite Anna’s unprofessional conduct. Ty deserves recognition for his effort to salvage an otherwise ruined experience. Unfortunately, Anna’s behavior overshadowed everything and made it impossible to enjoy shopping...
Read moreI had the absolute worst shopping experience at this store. I purchased two pairs of shoes after being misled by their deceptive promotion: “Buy one, get the second pair 30% off.” What they failed to mention—intentionally, I believe—is that the discount only applies to the cheaper pair, not the one of your choice.
A week later, I tried to return the more expensive pair. I had been charged full price at the time of purchase, yet the store insisted on refunding me only 70% of the amount, claiming it was because I had “used a discount.” This was outrageous, as I clearly paid the full price for that shoe. To make matters worse, when I noticed they were refunding only $65 instead of the $90 I had paid—and in the form of a gift card, not even cash—I asked to exchange the shoes for another pair. They flatly refused, saying that option was no longer available.
This store’s entire operation feels designed to trick and exploit customers. It’s shocking and disappointing that Skechers allows such incompetent and unethical practices in their stores. I have been a loyal Skechers customer for over two years, but after this experience, I will never purchase from them again. Clearly, there is no oversight or accountability—these stores operate however they please.
What Skechers doesn’t seem to realize is that losing a loyal customer costs far more than keeping one. The money they will now have to spend on marketing to replace me as a customer will outweigh whatever profit they made from this deceptive sale. And it won’t just be me: from now on, I will make every effort to warn friends, colleagues, and anyone I know to avoid...
Read moreI went here last Saturday, May 6th and the place was mobbed. They had only 1 guy on the floor and Skechers definitely needed more. Hopefully management or someone higher up reads this and puts more people on the schedule to help guests on floor needing to try on shoes. Poor guy on the floor was slammed, but he was hustling. I made him grab a million different sizes and styles, poor guy. He was as super helpful as he could be, given that he was helping a million customers at once & it took a little while before he came back with my shoe sizes and styles. The manager stepped in to help and I let management know how great the guy was and how nice their entire staff was. My mom and I bought 3 things and walked out paying only $140 (with the help of a 20% off retailmenot coupon). I bought 2 great pairs of shoes with memory foam inside, I love them. My mom found a white tefflon zip up jacket that looked great on her. The day before, I was at the Columbus Circle Mall trying on shoes at New York Running Company. What a joke! Not only didn't they have the right size because all the Nike shoes are so narrow and didn't fit me, but 1 shoe with no memory foam was $120! Go to Skechers instead! I got 2 pairs of great shoes from there and my mom got her awesome looking all white zip up jacket and all 3 things came to $140....
