Line Friends New York Times Square Store — Local services in New York

It's one of my go to stores whenever I go to Time Square area. It's so cute and I want to buy everything BT21 all the time! It has so many items ranging from clothes to pens to cute plushies. They have massive types of characters for any type of person. My favourite character to buy is CHIMMY and MANG as I love BT21 and BTS.

I know it seems like a BTS fangirl dream store but you honestly do not need to know or like BTS to enjoy the BT21 products or the Line store it self. But if you do like BTS, this is the place to go!

It has a large bear that changes outfits depending on the season or holiday that you can take pictures off. Scattered in the main area of the store is smaller figures you can also take pictures. In the back which used to be Choco's room is now just BT21. Which also has figures I highly recommend going to and take pictures.

However it isn't cheap. These are the prices I can remember. It should be around the prices I list. The Cheapest items I've see are washi tape and pens which is around 4.95. The plushies are arond 25-35 dollars for medium, close to 60 for large plush. The pillows for bt21 are 29 for medium, 40 for large, and 99 for JUMBO. The hoodies range around 60-75 dollars. Shirts cost like 29? Snap-backs are around 35-50 dollars. Keychains go around 13-18 dollars. Notebooks around 5-10 dollars. Hair items around 5-15 dollars. Random trinkets go around 7-20 dollars. Bottles are around 20. Fans around 30. I think they recently added bags which range 18 to 35 dollars.

But they are good quality. My keychain still look nice despite it being everywhere and on me almost all the time! I love the hoodies as the texture is a bit rough BUT in the wash it gets softer and keeps its shape and form. It's pricy but a good investment. They do update the items every so often. However not everything is always in stock. From what I asked about, the store doesn't pick what to re-stock. The company just sends them boxes every week. Currently the Christmas items should be coming within the month. (They look adorable!)

I wish they had more items. :( Korea has double the merchandise! I don't know if NYC will ever get some of them. I do hope so!

The employees were so rude to my sister, my mom and I. During my second trip to the store my sister and I were followed, like we were going to steal. We had no intention of stealing and had paid for all of our items. The guy behind the counter was just as rude. He offered everyone else a pretty bag but when me and my sister arrived at the resister he didn’t offer us a bag until my mother pointed it out. He huffed and gave us a bag. He had also treated me like I was stupid. He told me the airpod case I picked up was for “AirPods regular” I told him “I know” and proceeded to point at the AirPods in my ear. My third and final trip to the store my mom asked one of the ladies who worked there if she could use the bathroom. The lady proceeded to look at my mom up and down speaking quite rudely and said “You’re not allowed to use the bathroom because of COVID, try McDonald’s” I am very understanding of the pandemic and how a store may not want people to use the bathroom. However the lady had no right to be rude to us when we were respectful to her, everyone else in the store as well as the store itself. When we traveled next door to McDonald’s they had given my mom the same answer, but a total 180 from the woman in the bt21 store. She was way nicer and we thanked her and left. This was unfortunate because the first time I went to the store, there were still some snobs but some employees were nice. However each time it seemed to have gotten worse. I’m always nice to employees when it comes to retail, work in general. I know it's hard dealing with the public, trust me I know. But if the costumer is being nice to you, don't be snob. Also the store is way over priced, just buy your items online. I’ve seen cheaper bt21 merch in K-pop stores and even then save you’re money.

Update in 2025: They are still Rude and annoying. And that’s that they for some new staff. Overpriced and rude. Why can’t I just like...

I LOVE this place!!

I will start with the only con and that’s sometimes certain BT21 items are not in stock! Haha not the fault of the staffs though.

You will be greeted by a huge oversized bear when you walk in and if you’re a fan of Bts you will be overwhelmed with the BT21 selection! Plush pillows, totes,slippers, pens, keychains and so much more BT21 items!! This is Line Friends stores so if you love Line Friend characters you will love this store as well! The line friends items starts as small as $1.25 postcards and stickers to $100+ exclusive hoodies and merch. Majority of the line friends items are less than $60 but they have exclusive items like beats and limited jackets, etc which are more pricey. There’s something there for every budget though!

Staff is ridiculously helpful! They greet you and there is enough staff to assist you even during busy times. The staff has always been extremely helpful with answering any questions!

They play a mixed variety of KPOP now(they used to just play Bts) and have tv monitors to show BT21 and Line friends videos.

In the back of the store is the BT21 room where they have more merch, exclusive items the boys signed(not for sale) and huuuggeee BT21 characters! Photos and videos are encouraged and this is the one place where it’s ok to take a shameless selfie lol.

It seems like there’s always some new merch added so I would call the store or visit weekly if you’re looking for something specific. They usually have little sales on line friends items like buy one get second one free or a percentage off.

BT21 items are very well priced as well smallest items are folders which are around $4 and priciest is the large plush pillows (42cm)which are around $42 ! Again something for everyone’s budget here! Highly...
