I was a tenant for this Medspa in 2021, and I was honestly contemplating sharing my experience since it has been awhile but I feel it on my heart to share my experience. When I first moved into my rental I had to clean it thoroughly on my own instead of it being clean and clear at first. Though the owner was kind in the beginning and rent was super affordable, it wasn't easy being there. I would catch his workers in my rentals on days they did not expect me to be there, I have empty to stolen items like my free breeze bottles in my draw. If that's not so bad, the owner would harass me with add on's like cleaning that I already do as an esthetician, as well as doing Groupon services with him when really it's exploitation b/c he would be making most of the money. I even had him contact me one day accusing me of flushing pink wax down the toilet, when that's silly b/c I provided sugar waxing only and even if then I would do no such thing. He had an older racist woman with short hair there who would give me dirty looks, and his other rude worker who was right across from me. Nasty work! I would also witness unhappy clients that would come in for a service and leave angry b/c the price was switched at the end of the service. It was all madness and I had to leave as soon as possible after 4-5 months. Whew, so glad that is over and please take heed if you are reading this. Read moreI bought a microdermabrasion facial from this spa through Groupon. It was extremely difficult to make an appointment (I do work so it was almost impossible to find an evening or weekend slot). On the day of my facial, front desk was a bit short/curt, but I’m used to that in the city so not a huge deal. My esthetician was nice enough, but it was the most aggressive facial I’ve ever received in my life. It’s been almost a week since my facial and I still have red bumps all over my forehead, and the skin on my forehead feels like sandpaper and it’s extremely red and itchy. The esthetician went back and forth several times over my forehead with the microdermabrasion tool, to the point that it hurt, and she was using a lot of pressure. I’ve had several microdermabrasion facials in my life and this has never happened before. I’m scared that my skin is now permanently damaged, as I’ve seen no improvement in almost 7 days. I’ve even had colleagues comment and ask if I’m ok - super embarrassing to say the least. Not sure what I’m going to do now, but trying to save someone else from this facial experience. I didn’t bring up anything on the day of my facial because I didn’t want to make the esthetician uncomfortable - and I also didn’t have bumps until the next day so I wasn’t immediately aware of the damage. Read moreBought a Groupon for Laser Hair Removal and had to extend it 3 separate times just to keep trying to make an appointment. First of all, it's a completely different name on Groupon (Midtown Beauty), but the phone number and address directs to this place. I have never once called and not gotten their voicemail. Only sometimes would they even attempt to call me back or even send me a text. I'd occasionally receive a text that said "Hi you called us, how can I help you?" and when I asked about scheduling they would tell me "you have to call to make an appointment".. so I call... and you guessed it, voicemail. I probably called 20+ times over the past 3 months, and received a call back twice. But of course I can't wait by the phone, so having no clue if or when they would call, I missed those calls. When I asked if we could schedule a call because I could never get someone on the phone, I was ghosted. Wholly unprofessional business and a waste of time. I contacted Groupon customer service, explained the situation, and got my money back.
