Staples — Local services in New York

I can't comment on the entire staff but my experience with their printing dept.was deplorable. This has been my 3rd day in row trying to get an order right. The 1st time I asked for some images to be printed in 8'×10" and from the naked eye, they looked fine. It wasn't till I got them home when I tried framing them that I realized that they were 7.5"×11.5". Kind of hard to fit them into and 8"× 10" frame. When I brought them back the next day, somone else explained to me that because of the size of my file, it would be impossible for them to be printed to and 8"×10". That's understandable, how about going a little bigger so I can crop it down to fit my frame? Sure thing, no problem. And so today, I messed one up, and went back to have another one printed up but the color was noticeable lighter, so I asked rhem to correct it. This time way to dark. When I asked why this was happening, the woman told that when you have multiple prints, that's just what happens. Huh? I'd only had six copy, Id hardly call that multiple. Anyway, if you're in need of having anything professionally printed, find somone else. When I got home I started working on my project again and again the easurments were wrong. I know I should have had them measured before I left but I was a anxious to leave that place. Just left the place and now my choices are to having smaller prints that will require matting or usinga super light print that fits or one that's not so gaded out but has a green tinge tp it. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. After standing around waiting for someone to help me, I was bounced back and forth between associates who were unable to give me a clear answer about my print job. This was a time sensitive matter and I tried to explain that to all parties involved. HOWEVER, no one seemed to want to help me in any way.

After waiting over an hour for my printed materials, one of the employees walked out from the back and told me they could not print it because of the size of the paper. IS THIS NOT A COPY AND PRINT SHOP??? It says explicitly on the wall that they can do any custom printing needed. I ended up having to print everything from them on 8.5 x 11 paper and then had to cut it all myself.

When it was all said and done they ended up charging me almost $120.00 for one of the worst and most stressful experiences I have ever had.

DO NOT EVER GO TO STAPLES! I WOULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS...

It's a good store for its size, but there are two problems with it:

1. The customers are often rude and demanding, often threatening to leave malicious reviews in retaliation for being told what the store policy on certain things are. One of the associates was very direct with them and the customers claimed he was being rude to them (it doesn't help that this Staples is right down the road from Billionaire's Row, Juilliard, and Carnegie Hall, which explains why the clientele is obnoxiously demanding). 2. ...the assistant "manager." You can hear her in the back (I think the clerks said her name is "Katrina" or something) yelling at the people doing the printing. If this is how the workers are treated then I'd hate to see how regular customers...
