I'd like to update my review of only 2 months ago. Downgrading from 5 stars to 1 star. Where to start, after wearing the ring most days for only 2 months a stone dropped out. I live in London so taking it back to the studio was impossible esp with current travel restrictions. Lishai did offer to replace the stone if I could get it to them (this is valid for 1 year). As I could not, with her knowledge I took it to 2 very well regarded jewellers in Mayfair to see if they could do this for me. To my absolute horror they both independently told me they could not. The design of the ring is beautiful but completely impractical I was told. The claws are not equidistance and too clustered which leaves too much overhang of the stones - hence even a tiny knock can cause a stone to be lost. Yes, they could replace the stone but as they know another will drop they do not see this as a good way to conduct business so would not consider it. One of them told me it could be reset (at a great cost to me) and the other would not even do this. Meanwhile the emails go back and forward with Lishai and she's very good at not listening to what you are saying (I think 4 times she asked me if I couldn't' get it to her). Knowing what I now know, I would not want the stone replaced. 2 people have told me the ring is not suitable for purpose and should not be worn again with the current setting. They both advised me to ask for a refund and I was told by Lishai "this piece is final sale, as stated in the paperwork you signed off on". At the beginning of this saga Lisha also told me "this was not uncommon". I have saved all emails confirming these quotes. Their get out of jail line was "Unfortunately it is very common in this industry for other jewelers to "criticize" the work of others and point out issues (even if they do not exist)". Even if they do not exist? I lost a stone after 2 months! Anyone reading this can make what you wish of it - I am sharing this to try and help and hope this does not happen to anyone else. These people DO NOT CARE about you as a customer. Not one bit after you have parted with your hard earned cash. There are lots of people who do. I most certainly won't be back. I have unsubscribed and unfollowed. Watching her chase after Katie Perry and giving her free earrings when I have spent $11k on a ring that is unwearable (without me spending much more to have it reset) kind of sticks in your throat. I hope this helps someone and no one else goes through this - service is 5 star until something goes wrong. Funny that. Even funnier way to run a business.

Read moreI wish I could say I am one of the die hard Stephanie Gottlieb fans. But, alas, that is not the case. I was taken by her glitz and glam thinking I was receiving a piece of jewelry that was up to the appropriate standards of craftsmanship. I built a ring, supplied my own diamond and received it early spring. Got engaged mid July. On the way home from getting engaged, I noticed tiny holes in one of the prongs. My heart dropped. The fact that it was sent out to us with this defect is astounding. This ring was barely on my finger for less than an hour and already something was wrong. I emailed the very next morning and they offered to fix it. They did. Shoddily at best. At this point I’ve been engaged for a month and have had the ring on my finger for less than a week. Fast forward a week and there goes one of the pave diamonds from the band. I was told that this is a piece of fine jewelry and will obviously have “damage” if not taken care of. Blaming the customer now. I’ve now had this ring less than a month and now two things have gone wrong. I brought the ring to a reputable jeweler to be told that 1) the band width isn’t even what had been agreed upon and paid for 2) the basket was not set correctly around my diamond (a stone that was given to me after my mom’s passing) 3) the work was substandard at best. Ironically, while the ring was being inspected under the microscope, two more pave diamonds fell out. I was in communication with SG at every juncture. I communicated my extreme disappointment and what has ruined a beautiful engagement. They offered to fix with a discount, but who in their right mind would entrust their diamond after seeing these kinds of issues? So we returned the ring and disputed the charge. AMEX returned the funds until a month later we get rebilled for half the ring cost. A ring, that we no longer have. I wasn’t even planning on writing a review. I said to myself I would walk away and try to salvage what I can from what’s meant to be a beautiful occasion. But now with SG fighting for the 50% restocking fee for a product that doesn’t meet quality standards, I couldn’t stay quiet. This is such terrible business on their part. It’s not just about the money. It’s about the beautiful experience that both of us were robbed of that we’ll never be able to get back. Three months after my engagement and I still have no ring...
Read moreProbably the best jewelry experience my husband and I have ever had. The SG team is incredibly professional, super responsive, and very knowledgeable. Never pushy and always transparent, these ladies know their stuff, and Paige, who we’ve worked with on multiple pieces so far is the sweetest most kind associate we could have hoped to build our SG relationship with. She has been absolutely wonderful every step of the way, and having known her for just over a year now, I have come to know exactly the professionalism and quality of work I can count on from her and her team. The process to build and design bespoke pieces runs smoothly and efficiently and her communication throughout the production process is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Not to mention the quality of the items her team creates. We feel super lucky to have the opportunity to continue to work with Paige and we can’t thank her enough for the experiences she has created for us in the process of making such important pieces of jewelry. Ultimately, if you have the ability to work with the SG team, I’d highly recommend you do so, you will not be...
