This White Glove Building has great potential, but how management addresses situations can be concerning. I want to clarify many of the doormen and staff keep the property in excellent condition and are professional. There are an abundance of amenities, and the building is close to transportation which makes this a prime location. However, there are some serious concerns regarding safety.
The property manager at the SUMMIT shared my personal contact details without authorization with a consultant unknown and under false pretenses. After a brief conversation it was determined the individual does not reside in this state and the remarks made to her were misleading. To my recollection of the conversation, they have never worked in any capacity with BLDG Management or Summit Apartments.
Below are other concerning matters my neighbors have experienced according to them: Disparaging residents' names and dragging them to court on false pretenses such as rent arrears, noise, abuse of amenity space, damage to floors and outlets.
If you have fallen victim to this illegal behavior safeguard yourself and please take the necessary steps to ensure it does not happen again. In my situation, 2 doormen claimed residents filed noise and nuisance complaints. It was later determined these were "ghost" neighbors. I never received an apology regarding this illegal behavior and they continued to disseminate this false allegation. Additionally, the two doormen who made these false claims to management continued to misuse their positions by filing similar complaints against other residents.
If you are a resident of this property, I strongly encourage you to take the following actions: Contact BLDG Management and inform them that you do not consent to sharing your personal information with third parties. Include a clause denying permission for your photograph to be used without written consent. You can choose if you want your photo shared internally. Claiming it's for security reasons is nonsensical. Are you a security risk? Document communications. There's been theft in the building, and releasing a prior person on staff was very difficult, with all the evidence. Do not associate your personal email account with business related to your residential building. When possible utilize your own VPN connection. It's great to have free Wifi, but your history including IP address, and MAC can be tracked.
This is not only a matter of privacy but also of trust, safety, and legal compliance. It is deeply concerning to provide legal documents through an unsecured exchange. Regardless of your residence, I urge everyone to take proactive steps to protect their...
Read moreIt was a great building until I realized that management spends all of their time catering to the needs of the basketball players they provided rent-free apartments to in order to make the building look cool on Instagram. Is that the new level we have sunk to? Each week they make new rules that benefit these certain D list basketball trainers and players. The rules actually state that if you are using the gym or any amenities and one of these basketball people want to use it, you have to give them express access and leave ASAP. There are also signs everywhere that ban taking photos of basketball players shooting hoops, as if anyone cared. These rules and others are obviously unenforceable for a paying tenant by any legal or common sense standard, and also embarrassing for a building that is trying to rent out the building (still half vacant).
Caution to all prospective tenants: All residents besides the basketball folks are 2nd class citizens because management is star struck and worships these "famous" people who add no value to society nor their fellow residents. They keep adding rules and will eventually take ALL of the fun out of the amenities that we pay so much money for. This is supposed to be a luxury building, but that is now only the case for...
Read moreThe following review is my opinion based on my 3 year lease period at 222 east 44 sstreet Summit building. let me start off by saying i am an orthopedic surgeon, first responder during covid and 9-111. after complaining about dirty water, they decided not to renew my lease in such a disrespectful fashion it is a disgrace. Brown water comes out of the sink all the time which matches the brown toilet water.... I have complained numerous times and the response is....we have tested the water and it is safe to drink. You can tell me it is safe to drink but I am not drinking brown water.....sorry. I have resorted to buying and drinking bottled water. Also management could use a lesson on professionalism. There are no light fixtures....so bring your stand up lamps from college....you are going tto need them....also make sure not to wear shoes inside...the floors are the cheapest wood veneer and they scratch so easy. Paul Howard the managing agent is unprofessional. From my picture attached you can see how dirty the bottom of my Brita water filter is. They supposedly âtestedâ the water and it is safe to drinkâŠ.. I am a doctor and i can assure you, I wonât drink brown water and i wouldnât...
