The link doesnât work for online form came here and asked us to go to a corner store on 49th and 2nd Ave (which they might get commission of print out) that store charged 25$ for printing a form. What is the use of this embassy here in newyork if they open at 9:30 and close at 1:30 and also canât fill out the form them self , what are they getting paid for if they donât do any job . They are off on all holiday including Nepal and USA . The worker here donât answer the phone as if they were busy with other clients but upon getting here there is no client at office for visa or other work but they didnât answer call because they were busy talking on their phone with friends and relatives. They are getting paid for nothing. This has to change . Nepal canât afford too much unnecessary money wasted on this office they are not open full office hour 9-5 .where is world has a office open at 9:30 and close at 1.    Read moreLike every other reviewer said, Mr. Navaraj is single-handedly keeping this office under control, or it would be really chaotic. All the processes and systems are in place, but people don't even check website and come there unprepared. Most of the time-wasting is happening because of that. Vice Consul was ok too.
Huge disappointment was the office space. It's high time they move their office to a larger space... people had to stand and wait around doors and in front of toilet for long time.
We went there for passport renewal, the actual process took around 30 minutes but because Mr Navaraj had to run here and there answering and assisting unprepared people all the time, it took 2 hours.
People need to stop blaming the office or system and start acting responsibly themselves. They are not able to pick up phones because they have to constantly assist people filling up online forms, telling them what are required documents and so on. Yeah maybe they should have more manpower.... but people... at least check websites or ask...

I walked in exactly at 9:35 am and there was a lady with glasses who appeared after I waited for 15 mins. Unbothered , unwilling to help attitude. I asked her if she could help me but she told me to make an online appointment first which was never available. I told her my passport expires this month, She replied âit doesnât matter if it expires, we wont fine you and you can renew it slowly even if it expiresâ I was shocked.
