Swatch Grand Central Terminal — Local services in New York

Neat lil shop located in the center of Grand Central Station. Having a family member who’d recently purchased an Omega X MoonSwatch, I was passing by & decided to check out the shop. I knew very little about Swatch walking in. Maya was super helpful, knowledgeable, & patient. I asked her what all the hype was over Swatch & the Omega X collab. She explained what she felt made Swatch unique from other brands, elaborating on Swatch’s focus on artistic value & affordability to the general public while still achieving fun classy-looking wristwatches. As an artist/ musician, this had an immediate appeal to me, & I sincerely became interested from our conversation. At the time, the shop was nearly sold out of MoonSwatches. After doing some research from home, I came back a week later & got lucky as I was able to snag a rare MoonSwatch that also happened to be my favorite one. Highly recommend this location! Had a pretty disappointing experience today. I went to the store this morning to exchange a MoonSwatch I bought just the day before because I noticed a slight misprint around the bezel. I get that it’s a subtle detail, but as a watch collector, these things stand out to me. If I’m not happy with the product, I have every right to exchange it for one I’m satisfied with. What’s even more disappointing is that I’ve purchased several watches from this store before and those experiences were fine, making this one particularly off putting. Unfortunately, the employee (named Nate or Nathan), seemed visibly annoyed with my request to the point that I even felt the need to apologize which really shouldn’t have been necessary. I left the store feeling uncomfortable as a customer and I probably won't be coming back or recommend that store...

This shop is small but I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of swatch watches and accessories. I only needed (2) new swatch bands for my gent watches, but it did not stop me from looking : D Chanel was very helpful changed both of the bands for me and threw in some batteries as well!! Chanel even cleaned and buffed the watch faces for me!!! which they both needed as these are my everyday watches.
