This is a beautiful spa and definitely felt welcomed at first by the attendant Sophia. The only thing that brought the experience down was an interaction with the receptionists/security. Perhaps it was a misunderstanding because both Sophia and the Spa have high reviews but there was a confusing rudeness and disrespect. Only giving 2 stars because of the ambience, initial welcome, and for being accommodated when a booking online slot wasn’t available. It’s disappointing because we are out of town visiting NYC and this has been planned for a couple of weeks. Again perhaps this was a misunderstanding but feel free to reach out to me.
Rebuttal to owner’s reply: I am disappointed in your reply as I left the door open for dialogue and for you to reach out to me. I have been trying to reach your phone lines and have even left voicemails for call back so yes it has been planned and i was happy to be accommodated. Again it’s appreciated but not when the experienced is soured for the customer. I will gladly provide additional information on why it was rude. Good customer service would have been to reach out to me, come to an understanding and resolution and the review would have been edited. It seems though that you will rather reply publicly and be right instead of building a bridge. I still leave the door open and if this review isn’t changed then that’s how everyone will know that the owner does not care enough about client relationship. I have been...

Update2: Tried both message therapists, I guess Luis is more for treating a certain pain and Sophia is more for whole body relax. You can choose depending on what you need. But heard they are changing owner, not sure how it would be in the future.
Update: Had two sessions with Luis, he is professional and gentle. He doesn’t talk much but do ask about your needs. Feel more respect with him so decide to continue with him. And he always makes sure to give you a full hour massage instead of trying to make it 50 mins or so.

Tried the 1st massage with Sophia, and she was not bad. I'm not sure why others say she talks too much. Personally, I feel it’s okay. She is just asking about your situation and tries to understand what you need. But there was one time it got a little awkward. I didn’t pronounce 'shoulders' correctly when talking to her, and she laughed and repeated my pronunciation multiple times... well... I said sorry. I hope she would recognize that non-native speakers would have these issues, though. Everything else was okay. She didn’t leave during the session like others mentioned in the comments. So overall, not bad. Will try another massage therapist next week and come back to update my review.
The owner does not pick up the phone but will reply to messages promptly. At least during Friday night, the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of experiencing a facial and massage with Sophia, and I can't recommend her highly enough! From the moment I walked into her serene treatment room, I felt welcomed and relaxed.
Some days you do not feel like going outside your building to get a treatment. And having Sophia here at the max is definitely such a game changer.
Sophia's expertise was evident as she tailored the facial to my skin type, using high-quality products that felt luxurious. My skin felt rejuvenated and radiant afterward, and I appreciated her personalized approach.
The massage was equally fantastic. Sophia's technique was perfect. She applied just the right amount of pressure, helping to relieve tension and melt away stress. Her calming presence and soothing atmosphere made it a truly blissful experience.
Overall, Sophia is a true professional who genuinely cares about her clients. I left feeling refreshed, revitalized, and eager to return for my...
