This was the WORST UPS experience of my life. We paid $115 for overnight shipping to Sarasota. We showed them on Google maps exactly where it was going. They typed in the address wrong or something and shipped it to CHOKOLOSKEE Florida. Which obviously sounds and looks JUST LIKE SARASOTA. 🤬. Needless to say; the package did NOT arrive overnight. I spent 40 min on the phone arguing with them and they told me the best they could do was deliver it 5 days late bc it would take time to update the address in their system plus they don’t work on Sundays.
The package was supposed to arrive today (5 Days late) and instead I got a voicemail that they are holding it in a location TWO HOURS AWAY FROM ME so I can go pick it up. And they’re going to hold it for five days.
When I called to make sure that was a JOKE and my package would be delivered today, five days late, as promised on the call, she said “not possible” because the address wasn’t changed in the system. So, the 40 min I spent on the phone (with a supervisor) (where I specifically and very clearly DECLINED the option to make a four hour round-trip drive to pick it up myself) was for nothing.
This store stole my money and my time. Will never ship from here again and will just use fedex next time. Or usps because event they could have...
Read moreI went there today to drop off a return package. The employee was helping a customer. I asked him for a tape to seal the box. He said to wait. Even after the payment and everything was done the customer was still asking endless questions. She was concerned about her mail to be delivered by next day. The employee was politely answering. By the time it's been almost 5 minutes. I asked again, and he gave me a look and said wait. Then they started talking in asian language.
After 10 minutes since I walked into the store I lost my patience and told him look I'm just here to drop the package it's going to take 1 minute. Can you take care of me? In a reply he said can't you see I'm helping a customer? I told him I've been waiting here for 10 minutes, and her transaction and everything was done almost 8 minutes ago, if you still want to answer her endless questions or whatever you two are talking about, tell me what should I do? He said and I quote "don't come here, drop your return somewhere else." He sure didn't want a customer who's not paying. I understand and respect the people's work in retail stores. They go through a lot. But tell a customer go to another store because he politely waited and asked 3 times? That's one star service right there. Best of luck with...
Read moreA joke of a store. UPS should be ashamed that they enable this franchise to tarnish their brand. Incompetent staff gave me the run around. One coughing everywhere and even told me how he had the flu while he did it. They tried to charge me extra for duties, which I explicitly explained I wouldn't have to pay if he entered the package in his computer as "Return for Goods Sold". And I know this to be true because I immediately went home and did his own job for him on UPS's website after reading their 'help' page where it explains exactly what I was telling him in the store. I should have just done it all online from the start. I guess that's my fault for trusting that the person behind the counter knows how to do their job?
And to add insult to injury, even after recognizing that I'm the same person they jerked around the first time, upon returning to the store they still wanted me to pay their outrageous $3 printing charge for the label that they were too incompetent to create the first time I was there. All the while being dismissive, even prompting other customers to step to the desk to be serviced before me.
There's another UPS Store on 41st Ave. Had I known at the time, I would have left on the spot and gone there. This place should go out...
