Called for a ride to JFK. Requested that the car not come right away rather in 25 minutes.
5 minutes later got a text and a call that the driver had arrived. Ok, not that big of a deal. Going to the airport a little early is not a bad thing
Usually take an Uber on the return trip from JFK, but figured I’d give the car service a try. So I called after the plane landed while disembarking. Dispatcher gave me a great price and told me 15 minutes. Which is perfect because that’s exactly how long it takes to walk from the gate.
Got the call from the driver 2 minutes later. Told him I just got off the plane and am walking out. “No problem just tell me the passenger pick up number when you exit”.
After less than 15 minutes, walking out of the terminal into the rain, sent a text to the drivers phone number. Didn’t get a quick response so I called him to prevent disambiguation. No answer, phone goes to voicemail. After 10 minutes of not being able to contact the driver I called the dispatcher. She told me he left and offered another car in 20 minutes. That was nice of her… I’d rather pay a premium for greater reliability. Where’s my 5 dollar credit for not coming on time? I thought that was Temus policy? It’s cheaper yes. Is it clean, is it sanitary, is it low quality. Are they insured? Who knows this company has its place, but reliability is...

I asked the driver to open the window but he refused because he didn't like the sound of the wind. After getting off the car, he asked for an extra 10 dollars. Because I ride with my friends, our home is really near and on the same road. When we asked the driver to stop at my home and drive to my friend‘s home, he didn't say anything about paying extra money. So I called the company for an explanation. The person who answers the phone said everyone knew it was $10, no matter how close. But what I want to know is doesn't this company consider new people here? This company is only going to make money from people who have been in New York for a long time? Or does the company think it's famous and so arrogant that everyone should know its rules? I don’t understand. Then I asked for their complaint number, but the company didn't have a complaint number at all. So who's going to fix the company's security? I have recorded the phone call. Read moreI have used this car service twice, both pickup from the airport. While it has been a different driver each time, both were extremely rude. They always yell at you during pickup asking where you are, despite telling them which terminal you are at. The second driver was extremely unprofessional as well, constantly sighing throughout the car ride and sounding generally annoyed. And he would not unlock the car doors until you paid with a higher tip amount either! It seems that my experience is not uncommon for this car service.
